I've especially noticed the difference when dual wielding but that's obvious. On the deep wounds perk, I can't say I've done extensive research on it. I'm not too much of a 2-handed guy. The only other character I've used 2 handed weapons on was my Orcish Artificer. But that's a warhammer and those perks ARE useful for sure.

I chose Orc because of the physical damage boost with berserker rage. Warrior + Orc always equals good. They also start with a bonus to most of the skills you use. Redguards also start with good bonuses but aside from that they have the adrenaline rush racial power and that allows you to spam power attacks. They're another great warrior race. I enjoy Nords as well for roleplay purposes but their racial power is lackluster imo. Frost resistance is cool... but whatever...
