In all seriousness I actually like all the Houses equally.
You have the merchant thieves Hlaalu just like Vivec (it's even headed by a perv ), you have the protective warriors in Redoran just like Amelexia, you have the knowledge seeking mage-lords of Telvanni just like Sotha Sil and you have the ones that keep the balance in House Indoril just like Nerevar.
But I do have a soft spot for House Dagoth, they are the opposite yet the same as Indoril. They were dealt a bad hand but in the end they were just trying to do the same thing as what the Tribunal was, just in a different way.

Houses really do represent their Tribunal of gods, don´t they?
The similarity between Indoril and Dagoth is interesting thing, but House Dagoth brough Blight and Corprus to Morrowind. And I don´t know how about yout, I wouldn´t trade my good looks for a hole in face and immortality.

I actually just wrote a big huge spiel about the nature of Dagoth-Ur and what he was trying to achieve when I realized it was a bit of a tangent and I should probably post it as a lore discussion instead lol.

Grrr. I really feel that these discussions in Classics dispense too much nostalgia that it works like think-tank for Lore discussions.
Have you read my "Your Nemesis?" ? Almost every comment started some really deep lore arguments and we had to take it to appropriate groups.
So you can go ahead and post it as Lore Discussion. But I have to tell you that TES Classics is really blurry group, because we encompass almost everything related to older games. But it should be mostly in-game stuff.

Well the reason I say I should post it elsewhere is I kind of got on to Velothi culture and how Dagoth-Ur was trying to live up to that, not really anything about the houses themselves.
