    WHOA

    HEY

    NO REVEALING CONTEST DETAILS ELY

I have two questions. I don't know if it's 100% appropiate to post here but I guess I get a guarantee that you read it. And in a way, they double as suggestions. 1. Why is there a limit on tags? Can't it be extended a little bit? 2. Has it been decided to shorten event duration? If not, why?

Both of your questions/suggestions are appropriate for here, no worries.

    1. Because Mason made it that way back when the CB Archives were first created. It can be extended, but whether or not we should is a matter for debate.
    2. Yes, events are going to be shortened to one month.

It's been three official tags and 1 race tag for so long I just can't see a reason to change it.

Does anyone remember character build reviews? Would anyone be interested in seeing this event pop up again from time to time?

Sounds interesting. What does that entail?

We only did it once if I recall. It involved the cb community selecting a handful of builds for the a group of reviews to play and write a review on.

We never got many participants for that, same as with the two CB playtests that Mason did before that. In other words, it seems like a good idea but it never really works out.

If the idea ever gets off the ground I see it as a nice interlude between contests and events once in a while.

I think it's the sort of thing that would work better if people just did it on their own with the builds they want to play, and the hosts just helped to facilitate/encourage it, rather than organizing an event and a time window, and selecting a few specific builds to feature. Maybe we could get a tag for build reviews, and/or a review hub thread where you guys could link to new reviews and we could discuss them.

I can't really see it ever being more than a niche thing that a few people do every once in a while, but it could still be a nice resource and a bit of an increase in activity for the group, as well as perhaps a bit of extra publicity for some builds that could use  a few more likes.
