Aside from the Aedric/Daedric scale, perhaps a "Skyrimize character from other media" contest, or make a "New SpellSchool" where you use ingame mechanics to fundamentaly create a new -mancy.

What about artifact recreation? Attempting to port unique items from previous games into Skyrim. Umbra, Goldbrand/Eltonbrand, Daedric Crescent, Thornblade, Witsplinter, Redwave, etc. ... or armor, such as the Ayleid crowns, Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw, Imperial Dragon set, Fin Gleam, Wraithguard, etc.

I also like official TES classes as a theme. We have a few already on the blog: The Sorceror, The Agent, The Knight, The Witchhunter. These are all really well done. Would be nice to expand that set.

I have a vote for artifact recreation. Even if Umbra is technically gone, there's always some weird Daedric magic that can bring it back.
Daedric/Aedric champion I'm less in favour for (unless it can be a champion for any godly character, in which case I call the Hand of Almalexia), but mainly because I've already done Azura and Dibella champions.
But I really like the idea of having a character revolving around a historical moment or piece of lore.
