Casey, you may recall me commenting on this build and saying that I was going to give it a go for a good change of pace. Well, that play through turned into my first actual build inspiration. I definitely took a bit from this guy so you may be interested in checking out:

Thanks mate, it was a blast to play.
I've been toying with the idea of revamping it for higher difficulties, at least adept. Agent of Mara + The Lord or Atronach stone would make him suitably durable against mages and dragons, which was what gave me trouble a long time ago. The stakes would be higher and escape would be prioritized, but Windshear would hold great utility still.

Aaaaand Mythic!
Aaaaaaand Hall of Fame nominee!
Seriously, I don't know how this one got by me--it's a great build, and the roleplay is awesome (I love it when builds say things like "This role is all about getting rich and RUNNING AWAY in a panic when you are caught."
I've also been meaning to read some of the Dying Earth series, and Cugel seems like a great character to go with.
Sorry for the belated +1, and good luck with the Thief nomination ;)

I remember reading this a long time ago and thinking it was pretty cool, but now that I've actually read The Dying Earth series I think it's AWESOME!!!
I've never played a completely theify guy in Skyrim, or one that barely fights and runs away instead. I've never really been into roleplay before either, but now it seems really interesting. I love how you used Cugel too, lol.
The only gameplay change I might make would be to add the Ultimate Atronach Stone for 100% spell absorb (or close to that) SPOILERS -> (Highlight to read)
I was thinking that this would be like the Spatterlight, absorbing all magicka, and with no magicka regen. I would probably pick this up when I got Cicero's hat. Then I thought that the Ring of Arcana might be an interesting addition, sort of a cast-when-used thing that I think might fit into The Dying Earth world, a powerful trinket allowing Cugel to cast spells. I might get Dual-Casting to make them seem really powerful, though I probably wouldn’t have to worry about that on Novice.
Another thing I wanted to ask about was the Novice difficulty thing. Wearing just clothes and having only 100 health, how quickly did you die? Could a draugr deathlord one-hit you?
Overall Casey, I really enjoyed this build! I hope you get your lazy butt in gear and finish up that Dreamer build too :P
