Yep, It basically becomes slower at top end, you end up needing to make more trap areas, and use Manipulate more often than Mind Trick. For Dragons impact and a projectile works well, it's slow but steady. It's kind of funny since pickpocket helps level you quite fast despite your other skills levelling much slower so you get the perk spread but you don't get the depth as fast.

I too wish in Dragonborn for updates to Rune spells and Wall spells. Right now rune spells are simply markers to help show if the enemy has entered the trap area and where to Throw Voice, I chose throw voice over say using a bow since there was less swapping in my hands as this build is very magic hand swap dependent. Plus instant cast versus drawing back a bow or xbow reload is much better.

Love the trap. I had thought about throw voice + rune, but I never imagined the wall spells could combo with it. +1

Cheers, I think it only works due to Throw Voice and high magic regen, without those it is so easy to be seen or run out of mana. Enjoy the build! :)

As you see in the vid my destro skill isn't that high but because my Magicka regen is so high I can drop a few walls  and using even lower tiered magic moves you can still do a lot of damage. But yeah it gets easier once you unlock the level 75 perk for half magicka cost.

You can also use it to just help stealth around corners in tight spaces.
