I have a question involving OblIVion's Fame/Infamy system:
BTW, My current character in OblIVion is a Khajiit who was trying to reform his thief/murderer ways, but trouble always seems to find him...
My Khajiit has just become the Gray Fox (leader of the Thieves' Guild), and has a Fame of 29 and Infamy of 30; he has not even piqued the interest of the Dark Brotherhood (spoiler - he's considering killing Arnora during Two Sides of the Coin to interest them.) If he finishes the Brotherhood quest line, clearly his Infamy will be even higher. If he does the Pilgrimage at the beginning of the Kot9 quest line, will he clear all the Infamy from both the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood?

Once you complete the Pilgrimage, it clears your infamy, and it doesn´t matter where you gained it.
Considering you´re the Gray Fox and you have his Cowl, when you put it on, you´ll immediately gain 100 Infamy. It´s one of the favourite ways to obtain all powers from all Heaven Stones , because they have Renown requirement - which is Fame and Infamy combined.

I've just come up with a possible build for Oblivion (the GOTY version for the PS3):
A Summoner or Reanimator
Possible name: V. Frankenstein
I am talking about a Breton who regularly uses magic, especially the Summon spells from the Conjuration line - Summon Ghost, Skeleton, Zombie, Ghost, Dremora, etc.
His main weapon is the Staff of Worms; he uses it to reanimate the dead to fight for him. Besides that, he relies on spells.
Most-used skills:
All the magic styles - Conjuration (especially), Restoration, Alteration, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism, possibly Alchemy.
His armor style will be the best mage robes he can find.
Therefore, what would be good set of Major skills to prevent over-leveling?

Alchemy, Alteration and Conjuration can be leveled really quickly by spamming spells without being in combat, so you might wanna those as Minor Skills. On the other, if you want to prevent over-leveling...don´t spamm those spells.

Does the Always Use Best Attack setting in Morrowind mean that if you are using a spear, no matter what direction you are moving when you attack it will always be a thrust? And also, are Spears noticeably different from other types of weapons? I was thinking about using them the next time I play.

Oh, and is there any way to tell if mods won't work together? I don't plan on modding the game yet, but at some point I intend to try at least a few......nothing dealing with graphics or better textures though. Mainly more weapons/possibly combat changes.

Use best attack should work like you said. And lot of people praise Spear for being great weapons and how big mistake Bethesda made when they didn´t make Spears in Oblivion and Skyrim.
Well, most of the mods have warnings about compatibility in their description, so that´s one way. Second...if your game crashes right after launch...that some mods aren´t compatible.

Lol, alright thanks Karver. Oh, I just found some mod that said it needed the Morrowind Script Extender....do you think this would make my game lag a ton? (it already kinda does). I barely know what it is, just seems to make the game be able to comprehend more complex changes, right?
