There are few methods to deal with that troll. When you approach the troll you can see him up on the cliff. As an archer you can sneak – snipe him, hiding behind pile of rock on the Right side of the trail. Troll will stay up on the cliff. You can also get closer he will jump down and you scale up the small hill on the Left, and shoot from that position. As a close combat warrior I usually summon flame atronach or S.rose Daedra to get few free hits and bring the troll down. We can also avoid troll all together by riding straight a “free” horse, easily out run the beast. On foot I might just run off the trail to the Left, jjump around the hill and get onto the trail close to emblem shrine. The troll stays behind.

I am playing now on Master, as a Redguard. I did few dungeons, I’m considering to go to fort Downguard, where Isran gives me a crossbow and tells me pick up what I need. To deal with vampires and theirs fast dogs, I need more bolts. In my previous run with this build, the steel crossbow with ~ 100 steel bolts was essential to survive dimhollow crypt. That allows me later to meet / help another (moth) monk or hermit Knight-Paladin Gelebor. I reserve crossbow to boss or difficult fights, due to scarcity of expensive, for this build, bolts.

Good points. I never tried crossbows with this guy as they seemed to depart from the "Zen archer" aesthetic, but I like your approach to using them in a limited way - and, of course, you're given one upon visiting Fort Dawnguard.

Plan how to deal with dungeons, quests, etcetera. Before, I always had more bottles of healing potion than a man could possibly carry and enough arrows to drown my enemies, so it was easy to rush in, kill everything while chugging those potions, and come back with tons of loot.
Not only does my character have to plan ahead - make some elemental resistance potions, look for vantage points, scout to see what kind of enemies I'll find - she also has to remember that after clearing the place, she's basically no better off than before. No looting means that she's not richer, has fewer potions and arrows, is probably wounded, and still has to walk back to a city through bear infested valleys.
I haven't restricted myself as much as you had, though. She doesn't consider looting anything from the undead evil, but will not take what she doesn't need, and won't desecrate the bodies. So no bone meal, shields, miscellaneous items, etc, but if the target was undead, she could for example take some arrows (I tried not to carry more than 100 - about two quivers of them). Not food though, it's been on a dead body for god-knows how long and will probably make her ill.
Anyway, I'm digressing a lot. Thanks for the amazing build, it made for one hell of a playthrough and it never got boring.
