    That's a nice topic Zonnon!

The character I 'm planning to start playing I hope next week will be an Orc adventurer / wanderer. His setup will be that he was a city Orc that led a comfortable life in Cyrodiil and he is also a "romanticist" regarding all the warrior / honor / adventuring stuff. After a series of events he had to fend off for himself with nothing but a pair of clothes and his knowledge.

His main goal will be to learn how to survive alone in the wilderness (he will have some ranger class elements) and even though he won't be able to wield successfully a sword and shield nor wear flashy heavy armor still manage to become a respected warrior who upholds his personal code of honor as a warrior. Another goal of his will be to find good friends and companions and who knows maybe a love interest. He will view his life as a long journey so he will never stop even if he has accompliced all of the things he wanted to do; he will just keep going wherever the road and his quests to help others in need and become more accompliced himself take him (some "old orc" element). Also I will have a Warrior's Code for him to follow which will be based in the Japanese Bushido and the european Chivalric Code. To be honest I 'm quite excited about this playthrough since I 'm sure I 'll like it enough to make a build and roleplay profile for the character out of it :D .

    Thanks man!

Your character sounds awesome man, and the goal is perfect. It's what warriors all crave, eventough they're interpretation would usually veer towards 'I'm gonna kill XYZ'. Elegant and simple yet powerful, a bit like the character if I'm interpreting them right.

But on the other hand, this seems like just the character that the harsh wilderness of Skyrim would chew up and spit out at the first sign of weakness (which is good, shows the character's progression and makes them feel more real). Have you given any thought to his goals changing as he becomes more jaded and battered by the wilds and very unromantic people he'll meet, enemies and allies alike? After all, life in Skyrim isn't a fairy tale.

Oh! And I'm looking forward to the profile!

@Zonnon - Yes I 've thought about it and I think this will only make him even more convinced to go on and do the things he want for himself and for the few simple and good people he might meet but a change that will come to him as he progresses  is that he will become more bloodthirsty, a man of slaughter and he will value his life and his survival a bit more than helping a random guy that he doesn't know if he is a good or a bad person. Also he will be far less trusting of others. I think the berserker's rage and an ol' big greatsword will be the things that will also help this transition and reveal his bloodthirsty side. He will be a warrior with his code of honor but not a saint like the thoughts he had in the beginning of his journey helping everyone left and right unconditionally.

Also I am thinking to make him think more about this and start understanding how the world works starting with the quest for Saadia. I will put him to believe Kematu and after he has delivered Saadia to him he will think that if Kematu and him didn't speak he would have clashed with those warriors which would have been a huge blunder to say the least and there was a high chance for him to lose his life. From that point on he will start changing bit by bit and stop trusting people until they have proven with actions what they said. That is a thought for now though I 'll see how it comes along during the playthrough.

I think thats a great quest to start off with, it really shows the character that the world isn't black and white. I'm looking forward to your profile mate, it seems like the perfect character to illsutrate the complexity of character goals, as well as being awesome all on its own.

My female Dunmer Thief, nicknamed The Bard, has a couple of goals in her mind, to make as much gold as she can while rebuilding the Thieves Guild of Skyrim, stealing any valuables in Skyrim, and become a Nightingale. She archives her goals through trickery and stealth, for instance during the day she dresses as a normal Bard and gets paid for doing so, while pickpocketing, but at night she becomes a thief that sneaks in people's houses and steal anything worth value.

The reason of rebuilding the Thieves Guild is because she was born a thief and she will die as one, so she sees the Thieves Guild as her home and always to make it better. And what a better place to rebuild one? Skyrim because it is in the middle of a war and the guards and other are more worried about other things than a bunch of thieves running around.

She also believes that if she steals enough values and Gold than Nocturnal will reward her by letting her become a Nightingale.

It seems generic, but I have enjoyed playing this character.
