Unlike most Argonians San-Kai was not born in Black Marsh and was instead brought up in Cyrodiil by adoptive parents after his egg was found abandoned in Blackwood. He was taken in by two Imperials, Augustus and Mariana, and raised by them as a child. His adoptive parents had a specialty in magic and taught the arcane arts to their son, who became a natural at using them.
He found out soon after his birth that he was one of the Argonians born without a connection to the Hist and so considers himself more Imperial than Argonian. He worships the Nine Divines instead of the Hist and always worshiped Julianos more than any other due to his fondness for magic.
At the age of 18 his parents realized how advanced he was at magic and sent him off to the School of Julianos in Daggerfall, High Rock. It was here that San-Kai really excelled and he became a master in all schools of magic.
However one day he consorted with Hermaeus Mora in order to resurrect his sister, Akara, who had been killed by bandits. As a result he was banished from the School of Julianos and his sister was killed the next day anyway. San-Kai travelled to Skyrim after hearing of the College of Winterhold and he joined, studying there for a few years until he decided to go about travelling.
San-Kai went into a few Dwarven and Nordic ruins looking for artefacts but found the constant bother of Draugr and Spiders annoying and so hired a tough Nord mercenary to assist him - Bjorn Wolf-Hand.
The pair ended up travelling as friends all across Tamriel: the Dwarven ruins of Hammerfell; the ancient deserts of Elsweyr; the tree cities of Valenwood and the ashlands of Morrowind. They were always based in Skyrim and spent more time there than anything else, one day they decided to camp by the Ritual stone during a casual trek across Skyrim. San-Kai suddenly found himself in an apocalyptic wasteland and the events of Crossover began...
