But what I meant was - presumable Eorland doesn't have his cannonical loyalty to the Stormcloaks in a situation where Ulfric is trying to kill his buddies and destroy the Companions?

No I don't give Eorlund any strong ties with Ulfric. Such bridges were burned long ago. I will hopefully (one day) include a bit about Eorlund's past as I do give him a fair amount of reader time within my story. It would be nice to flesh him out some more.

I think the elders Fought in the Great War. I could see Kodlak fight in the War as a young man.
