ToC: Blues and Other Such Deadly Things

Welcome to my Wasteland Tales ToC. Here you can find, neatly arranged, and with short descriptions, a list of all my poems and short stories set in the wonderful world of Fallout. This will be about 90% poems, but I may have a new short story in the works. This'll be organized by general setting, that is to say, East Coast and West Coast.

    West Coast

    Poetry

Heaven Was a Whorehouse Where Everyone Laid Sky-High:

Originally a non-Fallout poem, I found it shared enough of a similarity with the world of Fallout that I could post it here. It's a pretty depressing tale of a man searching for a Post-War promised-land. When he arrives, he instead finds a drug-laden brothel.

A Poetic Account of the First Battle of Hoover Dam:

This short but sweet poem was my first true Fallout poem, about the defeat of the Legion at the First Battle of Hoover Dam. I thought I did well with establishing an image in few words, as not a single line is more than seven words.

    Fuga:

A poetic account of the Powder Ganger uprising at the NCRCF, I attempted to go for the voice of an amateur poet, as if it were a Powder Ganger writing the poem. This is one of my favorite Fallout works of mine.

    Short Stories:

    A Terminal Case:

The story of a ghoul surviving in the Nevada wasteland, he discovers he is on the same journey as someone else was, who had come through only a few weeks before. Following a trail of safehouses with unknown origins, he eventually catches up with the "Perpendicular Man" as he is called, only to be sent away with a disappointing conclusion.

    East Coast

    Poetry:

    Samsara

A dark, brooding sort of poem about the destruction and rebirth of the world, this was inspired by the title word, which is the word in Hinduism for the cycle of birth/death/rebirth. I think this is one of my best Fallout works.

My Girl Left Me for Another Raider:

The sad story of a lonely raider who only wanted someone to kill with, this is a semi-kinda-ballad type of poem with a bit of a humorous twist.

Oh yeah, I completely missed that. Maybe you could make those headings a bit bigger? It's a pretty cool way of categorising them, though.
