Indeed you can! In fact it was one of my few strategies for defeating Ahzidal. I cast the ritual stone on the masses of draugr lying on the floor (and the swordsman I hired who died rather quick, but he was just a distraction ;) worth every septim) and once the ten undead were around him I took off my Ring of the Beast (the one thing keeping me from getting one-shotted) and put on the Ring of Necromancy. The frost damage overwhelmed him below half health. I won't spoil how I finished him so other wizards can have their own epic battle but it gave me the idea.
And I only went with Durny to stick true to the undead theme. The werebear is great but it isn't thematic for that spell in general. Also the ring toggling makes you feel like you are actually commanding the undead instead of just letting them run amok.
Regardless. here is ANOTHER spell. I've been working tirelessly for a few nights now.
Magomir's Call of the Elements
Storm Call + Sun Flare + North Winds (or Blizzard) + Whirlwind Cloak
The Wizard draws deep power from within himself, calling upon the very elements of the world to devastate all who stand in his wake.
This one is more self explanatory.
