Seems like it adds a whole lot of (much needed) realism and strategy to fighting, which is something I think is needed in TES games, to be honest, as much as I love charging headlong into battle, sword sharp and heavy armor clunking, I can't help but feel like a strategic playthrough would be an amazing way to play.

Finally! Good job on the build my man! I love Jack Vance and the way he portrays magic, so elusive, so rare and yet oh so powerful. I just read Tales of the Dying Earth and Eyes of the Overworld and I cannot wait to get my hands on more. Anyway! I have been eyeing this build for quite some time and finally decided to give it ago (along with your Transient Sorcerer build!) and after some tinkering I have created a couple of really fun spells I have used to great effect. One spell really caught my fancy in Mazirian the Magician so I attempted to duplicate it. Here they are:
Lim-Dûl's Gyrator Spell:
Vampiric Seduction + Cyclone + Vampiric Grip
The Wizard utters the words of power, stopping opponents in their tracks and rending them free of the gravity of the world, sending them to terrifying heights and a bone shattering drop.
I discovered that like the Mist Form you can also acquire the Vampiric Grip from the Vampire Lord blood magic and use it in human form. There are multiple Youtube videos on how to do so. Cast your Vampiric Seduction to stop the enemy in their tracks, then send them airborne with Cyclone. IMMEDIATELY nab them from the sky with Vampiric Grip and toss them even higher in the sky. It takes practice but what good spells don't? The ragdoll effect is hilarious and the fall will kill most opponents. This spell works great on single target threats you just want to end quickly (and quite amusingly, feel free to toy with them and monologue like the wicked bastard you are) This spell is ESPECIALLY effective when you throw them off of ledges or cliff faces.
Lim-Dûl's Charm of Amnesia
Slow Time (Full Shout) + Scroll of Harmony + Waters of Life + Embrace of Shadows
Surrounded the spellcaster warps the minds of his attackers, making them forget that a battle even began as they go about their lives as usual.
Have you ever started a fight only to realize there are just too many attackers? Perhaps you pissed off the town guard and all of it's residents for slaying their prized chicken? Well boy do I have the spell for you! By slowing time you buy yourself time to cast a Harmony spell to calm down the masses, then heal any health you lost and dissappear from sight, LIKE YOU WERE NEVER THERE.
That is all I have for now. I enjoy using shouts in my spells, since their effect is strong and the caster has to actually utter words of power to cast it, like every magician in the creations of Jack Vance. Hope you find good use for them. I'm personally heading back to my tower to read up on more possible spells.
Sincerely,
Lim-Dûl

Here is another one I came up with really quickly. It is very simple but quite flashy and even more epic!
Horde of the Lich King
Sun Flare + Ritual Stone + Summon Durnehviir + Ahzidal's Ring of Necromancy (Optional)
The Magician calls upon the spirit of the Great Lich King, gaining unbridled access to his armies of the undead to fight for him.
This is just a quick way to turn the tide on large groups of foes and tough bosses with lots of minions. Works best outdoors, but can easily be done inside if you exclude Durnehviir (not sure why you wouldn't want an undead dragon...) I like roleplaying that Ulfric Stormcloak had heard tale of my Wizard's power and paid him to be the ultimate weapon of the Stormcloak Army. Lim-Dul on the other hand accepted only if he could be guaranteed great knowledge. So summoning an undead horde in the middle of a large battle felt badass!!! You can let your undead minions fight for a bit and then toggle on the Ring of Necromancy to finish things off with a bang.
