“I am a Knight of Diagna, his patronage will surely save me from whatever I may face in due time’ Hakam thought to himself after a bloody massacre of his fellow Knights, one of them his own father. Hakam nearly escaped the battle and found a village on the scrubland outskirts of the vast Alik’r Desert, where he almost lost his life. The villagers healed him enough to save his life, but not his consciousness. Hakam fell into an incurable coma and in that coma he experienced what those that have met the lethal end of man or nature have experienced, most call it the Void, some call it by it’s ancient name of Padomay, but Hakam was not only greeted, but welcomed by this sentient emptiness who identified themselves as Sithis.”

“Growing up in the southern city of Gilane in Hammerfell, Hakam is no stranger to combat. He was trained to be a Knight of Diagna ever since he could hold a blade, as his father and his grandfathers have been part of the order even before the Siege of Orsinium is the First Era. Hakam is the youngest and only surviving son of Jabir, the current commander of the Order of Diagna. Jabir was very overprotective of Hakam, but also trained him in the use of swords  and short blades in open field combat, the Order's specialty. Being the rightful heir to the command of the order, Jabir did all he could to keep Hakam alive so the family legacy could live on, but all of that changed when Jabir, Hakam, and a regiment of the order were on their way back from a rescue mission in the northern Alik’r Desert…”

“Out of nowhere a sandstorm appeared, obviously the work of local tribal mages in the region. Grunts and orders could be heard from every direction that the order could not see in. Orcs, appeared from the storm, axes in hand, clad in war paint-This was Hakam’s first real experience of being overwhelmed in combat. Members of the order dropped one by one, the Orcs seemed to have the infinite upper hand in this battle. Jabir realized there was no way the survival of he and his men could be achieved. He rushed to Hakam and pushed him into the storm and told him to run, and he did, but not before yelling back asking to where, he never received an answer.”

“Hakam ran and ran through the storm until the fatigue and burden of his wounds couldn’t carry him anymore. He reached the outskirts of a village in the transitional desert to forest area in the far east of Hammerfell. Hakam lost consciousness before the villagers reached him, the consciousness he wouldn’t regain until he made accepted an offer with the Dread Father itself.”

“In his coma, Hakam accepted an offer from Sithis, the Dread Father. Sithis granted Hakam his consciousness, and a few particular inhuman abilities in return for change, the change of Skyrim. Sithis is a being who gets bored easily, and Skyrim was the perfect target for the idea of change. No specifics were given as Sithis knew that Hakam would know what he means by necessary change when he sees it, as he knew he would sooner or later come in contact with the pity excuse of the Skyrim branch of the Dark Brotherhood. Sithis grants Hakam the skill of mind control, illusion magic, to compliment his prowess in battle. Hakam agrees to these terms, becoming the only living aspect of Sithis, a representative, a proxy.”

“Hakam wakes up steals some gear from the villagers as they were sleeping and left for Skyrim without a trace of his past self left inside, other than the idea carrying on the legacy of the order. In his experience with the Dread Father Sithis said to Hakam that the order was a joke, and their roots died with Gaiden Shinji. Hakam, in a state of delirium, realizes that he needs to start a new legacy, a new order, an army following the words of Sithis, the Void- with this in mind he set out for the southern border of Skyrim. On the border, he encountered two military groups fighting, one clad in blue draped chainmail, and the other was a group he was raised to hate, the Empire. Hakam made a hasty, but ultimately wrong decision to help these  men and women in blue kill some Imperial soldiers, but ended up being captured and put on a cart to face execution…”

Race: Redguard (This is a must as it ties in roleplay)

Stone: Warrior -> Shadow (The Shadow stone can get you out of combat for up to a minute while you prepare for the ideal moment.)

Stats Distribution: 1M/3H/2S (Magicka for Illusion Spells, a high health pool is required as you won’t have many ways to heal yourself, and stamina is needed to power attack and bash.)

Shouts: Unrelenting Force, Battle Fury, Become Ethereal, Dismay, Slow Time. (Plus the other shouts required to progress throughout the game)

Powers and Abilities: Dragonborn Force, Seeker of Might, Mora's Boon, Bardic Knowledge, Companions Insight, Adrenaline Rush, Summon Specral Assassin, The Shadow Stone, Agent of Dibella, Agent of Mara, Ancient Knowledge.

Notable Spells: Calm, Fear, Invisibility, Rally.

    Equipment:

Head: Alik'r Hood (Fortify Illusion and Magicka)

Body: Vampire Armor(light) (Fortify Illusion and Health)

Hands: Scaled Bracers (Fortify One Handed and Light Armor)

Feet: Scaled Boots (Fortify One Handed and Stamina)

    Shield: Targe of the Blooded

    Necklace: Amulet of Talos

    Ring: Ring of Namira

Weapons: Two Nordic Swords (Absorb Health and Paralyze.)

    Skills:

Level 51 Skill Calculator Link Here: http://skyrimcalculator.com/404739

    Major Skills:

One Handed: The main and really only skill that causes damage, the tree is mostly perked out although you should ignore the mace and axe perks. You may ask why am i perking in dual wielding while also perking in block? Well that's just to increase the damage output once the opponent is staggered by block or incapacitated by illusion.

Block: Block is only one of my new favorite skills to use in, but for this build i decided it would be best if i used block in a more offensive way, even though its mainly used for defense. I chose the Targe of the Blooded as my shield as the aesthetic is amazing the bleeding damage really helps to kill enemies in the shortest amount of time.

Illusion: The skill of mind control is one bestowed upon you and will greatly enhance and be enhanced by your other skills and your ARMY of followers. Fear and Calm are useful early on by helping take care of those tougher enemies you may encounter while the Rally spells buff your followers and Invisibility can buy you time for the opportune moment.

    Minor Skills:

Light Armor: Light armor is the only source of defense other than the shield, the perks taken are only the five levels of Agile Defender as the other perks wont benefit the armor combo used in any way.

Smithing: Smithing is a fairly seld explanitory skill and the perks I chose were picked because all of armor and weapons used are benefitted by Advanced Armors and Arcane Blacksmith is used to improve late game enchanted gear.

Enchanting: Another self explanitory Skill as it enhances all skills used by the build. The main enchantments you want to use should be ones that fortify your major skills.

"The Sands of Sithis taking down a Dragon."

    Gameplay:

Early on in the game the ideal style of gameplay is an agile sword and board character with the occasional illusion spell. The experienced player should have no difficulty with this style of gameplay on expert difficulty but if you feel like the game is too easy or hard, adjust it accordingly. Late game (As in after you got multiple sets of swords and armor shown in the equipment section, and after you complete the Dark Brotherhood questline and the main quest) the game gets really fun to play. Using the multiple followers glitch described Here you can create a small army comprising of Cicero, Two Dark Brotherhood Initiates, a follower of your choice and maybe even a pet or Lucien Lechance's Specter if you feel like being unstoppable even on legendary difficulty. This style of gameplay HEAVILY benefits from spells/powers and shouts like rally, battle fury, bardic knowledge and companion's insight. You will still be a Sword and Board character but you will also function as a battlefield commander of your small, but deadly, army.

Quests: Main Quest, Dawnguard Faction Questline, Dragonborn Questline, Black Books Quests, The Dark Brotherhood, Unfathomable Depths, The Book of Love, The Heart Of Dibella, The Tase of Death, Lost Legacy, Coming of Age.

    Roleplay:

Being a newcomer to the land of Skyrim, you do all you can to make every little bit of coin, you start doing mercenary work and eventually join the dawnguard to kill the repulsive Vampires that are a scourge to Tamriel and also kill Alduin, while making a fair bit of coin doing it. After taking out Harkon you should head to Windhelm as you hear rumors of presence of the Dark Brotherhood in the area. After taking up the contract accidentally given to you find yourself in the presence of the leader of the failing Dark Brotherhood. After becoming listener and eventual leader of the Skyrim Brotherhood you decide it is time for a change, as Sithis new what you had in mind from the beginning. Recruit Cicero, the two initiates and trusty follower of your choice to join the rebirth of the Brotherhood that shall be called "The Sands of Sithis". Your followers should be equipped with the same armor you wear to increase the believeability of the roleplaying (It also looks badass too!). With your new army you create a major change of the Brotherhood's style of combat. You take a bunch of sneaky assassins and turn them into an army of combat hardened killers with no fear of death, as they know the Dread Father Sithis has good things in store for them.

    Special Abilities:

    Battlefield Dominance:

Requirements: Rally, Battle Fury, Bardic Knowledge, Companion's Insight.

Description: Cast Rally and Shout Battle Fury at the same time, making sure to target as many followers with Rally as possible. Quickly summon your drum with Bardic Knowledge and dominate the battlefield with a buffed up army.

    Ideal Strike:

Requirements: Invisibility/Shadow Stone, Targe of the Blooded, Two Nordic Swords.

Description: Become invisible using the Inivisibility spell or the Shadow Stone power and bash your enemy while they are looking for you. While they are staggered quickly unleash a combo off with your dual Nordic Swords and continue until your enemie is dead.

    Closing Notes:

This build was based off of one of the greatest conquerers you may have never heard of, Khalid ibn al-Walid also known as the Sword of God. He was a commander of the Islamic troops during the 7th Century A.D. and was never defeated in battle whether it was against Byzantine or other enemy armies. More can be found out about him on his wikipedia page Here

I would like to thank Alastor for helping me out with the process of building this character as this is my first build i am publishing to the site. I would also like to thank Morta for the amazing screenshots as my build would not have been anywhere near as aesthetically pleasing without them. I would also like to thank Ponty and his character building series on YouTube for also helping me with the character building process. And lastly i would like to thank everyone who likes, views, and better yet plays this build.

Are my tags supposed to look that way?

Not quite. The "Character Build Dual-Wield" tag should be put in quotes. That keeps it from breaking up into three different tags (Build, Character, and Dual-Wield). Also, the Rank tag should be removed since this is an event build.

That said, awesome work! The armor combo is killer! This is your first build, right? You did a great job. Very well organized, and quick to read. I'd suggest getting an art perkspread, or making the link you have more prominent.

After a closer look, I've got one suggestion for you, and maybe you can give some insight on how this worked for you: The combination of two crafting skills is really powerful. Were any enemies really challenging when you had well smithed and enchanted weapons and armor?

If possible, I'd suggest playing with only the one you think is most important, and see if it's still viable. That tends to up the challenge, but it's also very rewarding and often less grindy.
