You don't need Magicka as staves use their own economy called soul charges or something to that effect, the only spells you will need are basic and using Oakflesh to raise your alteration, Flames for destro (Until staves) These are mana cheap and 100 mana is more than enough since you mix mana attacks with melee+shield.

Yeah I wanted to go for something like that, still fantasy style brute, but not a stupid one who doesn't understand the the power of a staff. In roleplay terms of course.

Very nice, I haven't even really gotten into the build yet and I'm loving the combat style and character roleplay. Between this and the Aether you've helped me believe magic still serves a purpose in games like Skyrim (aside from Enchanting)

You might also like my The Hypnotist build which exclusively uses magic. :) Enjoy.

The only prob with using magic instead of stave is when you swap to a spell while having a spell in your right hand it swaps your shield out for that spell. So you have to press the spell twice to go left hand then right hand then press shield key binding to replace left hand spell.

Yep, auto swaps it as if it were a one handed weapon.
Also yeah I never thought about it that way, left hand defensive right hand offensive.
Left hand: shields and heals or enhancers (oakflesh, muffle etc.)
Right hand: Staves or offensive spells.
Let me know how that goes.

Thank you so much! I make these builds for people to find a new way to play an already excellent game but with a breath of fresh air. Ultimately if people follow these 100% cool, but even drawing from them something to be able to play the game again is just as rewarding to me as a build maker.
My next build will be exploring weapons, styles I have overlooked in terms or potential power rather than simply raw power.

Also, please feel free to remove the 'Restored' banner at the end of the build--I put it there as a courtesy to let the reader know that the build has been worked on by somebody other than its original creator without his or her knowlege.
