Now I'm running the nightstand build. Instead of training destruction to 60 like you did I trained conjugation up to 50 for bound bow and am still using it for soul traps at level 23 then I went on to training light armor until 60. I think I might come back to the destruction perks when I enchant stuff I'll use. Would any smithing perks be alright..... I'm trying to get some eleven armor now as an upgrade from leather....... or should I be using robes for the nightstalker. I'll probably just enchant conjuration into some of my armor later on when I get it. Also running the mage stone until my enchanting is leveled up to like 80 then ill probably switch to the thief stone after to skill level and then to the Lord ultimately. I like these builds I had the chaos ranger to level 35 and saved over it accidentally and it was a killer build. Had great fun with it. Thanks man.a

Meh, I don't really understand how it works with the enchanted damage + Destruction. Does it mean when I have a bow with fire damage and got Augemented Flames, I deal more damage? Sorry if I ask but im a total newbie in the arcane stuff,

Yes. Let's say you have a bow with 20 Fire Damage and both ranks of Augmented Flames (50% more fire damage). When you wield it, that bow will deal 30 fire damage instead.

Finally, a person who recognizes the value of Speech perks! :D
I gave up on another build that was far too shallow, for precisely the reason this build shines... it's a pain in the arse to level Destruction when it's not your main source of offense. Well, it's a pain in the arse either way, but even more so that way! I love using Merchant with potions, and reading through 49 pages of comments got me the original build that included Alchemy perks.
I kinda wish there were more info on the main post for people who don't want to read 49 pages of comments, though. You didn't even mention the Chaos enchant, so I was thinking the shock perks were a waste! :(
Mason, mate, when you play a chaos ranger, do you actually use shock cloaks that often? I would think flame cloak would see the most use, with frost really only there for the slowdown. Augmented Shock is definitely worth it for that sexy damage bonus from a bow of Chaos, though. What enchant would you recommend pairing with Chaos for the most ruin?

Oh right, I'm still having trouble remembering these perks, since they're not very useful to a Destruction mage. Paralyzed enemies have a hard time running away from a continual source of close-range damage (or arrows to the knee), eh~
Ben, this build has been updated since it was posted (see the last 49 pages of comments). I got the impression the chaos ranger build was made specifically to take advantage of the Chaos enchant.
