I saw the Pack Alpha build for a starting point but not sure on the Commando perks. Would like to add some stealth cababilities
Madd's Vagabond is a really good option, as is Mottyskills' Huntsman.

So, long story short, but my event build, Unarmed Power Armor Fisticuffs wasn't really viable (Survival mode, cuz thats the only way to play :P), unless you avoided specific situations in which the MC should, realistically, not have any idea what was coming, like the Mirelurk Queen at Castle or most Sentry Bot encounters (Robotics Expert didnt help too much, they still shred).
So, anyways, for my next playthrough Im thinking of doing something that's based primarily around Settlements, (I have all DLC, dont like using Mods). Im thinking maybe something with the Minutemen since they are the most Settlement minded faction, but maybe the Railroad would be ok too (like setting up a lot of Safehouses or something. Anyone got any fun build recs?

Lot's of ways to go for sure. The first one that came to mind is RCs Farmer's Wife which is a MM farming build. On the total opposite (evil) spectrum, you can go full Radier Outpost with Amo's Warlord or similarly my own build The Boss.
For a template on using Supply Lines for Survival Mode, there's Ponty's classic Survivor.
Also over on the Hub are some Settlement notes - most recently Settlement Tours and previously a Tips & Tricks style thread that admittadly never got a lot of traction.
I'll keep poking around for more builds. I know there's more...

Hi everyone, long time Skyrim player here. I have played Fallout 3 once, looking to play Fallout 3, NV and 4 on PC. I am looking for a build that is fairly simple to play and can cover a fair bit of game content. I don't mind crafting, love roleplay and would like something I can jump into fairly quickly. I sort of prefer a neutral morality for a first play through, it seems to give a bit of flexibility roleplay-wise. I have FO3 GOTY (and whatever dlc is included), all the NV dlcs and also I think all dlc for FO4, Automatron/Contraptions Workshop/Far Harbor/Nuka-World/Vault-Tec Workshop/Wasteland Workshop.
Edit: I don't need 1 build to play across all 3 games, I'd love a recommendation for each :)

Here are a few recs:
FO3: There are only 2 builds for Fallout 3 - read them both here!
FNV: Play as a real american hero as The Patriot or a hard ass Brotherhood of Steel man.
FO4: A build that is my personal favorite - sort of a MacGyver style build called the Gearhead, or Maddmannatee's classic ranger build The Vagabond.
Hope that helps!
