Hello fellow Wastelanders, I'd like to have a talk, if you wouldn't mind. One of my favorite pastimes while traversing the hellish wastes is to go into my pipboy/pimpboy (if you do a quest in New Vegas) and listen to the local radio stations, be it to hear lovely classics such as "I don't want to set the world on fire" or "The Wanderer" or to hear interesting radio personalities like Three Dog or President Eden or Mr. New Vegas.
But in Fallout 4 I seem to do that less, it's not the music choices, I really like them, but the DJ is rather... Meh... As Nervous Travis he's incompetent and impossible to listen to... as Confidant Travis, he puts on this faux cool and smooth persona that never feels genuine. It turns me off from wanting to hear more. And it's not like there is much competition, the only other radio stations are classic radio which is just classical music such as swan lake, the Silver Shroud Radio which is awesome but only works while in or near goodneighbor, and Radio Freedom... Which plays one song on loop and then gets interuppted by a Minuteman saying "all's clear" or that a settlement is in trouble... Riveting...
Well there is also WRVR... What? You didn't know about WRVR? The radio station south of Vault 81? I mean, companions and NPC's comment on it sucking and how it's the worst radio station in the wastes... What do you mean there is no WRVR Radio Station?... Oh... Yeah... Cut Content that has left over content highlighting it's disappearance (looks at grandma sparkle from fallout 3). Well, that sucks, if only there was a way to bring it back...
Introducing, the new and improved WRVR! This mod not only includes new great music that you'll be singing and humming all week, but a new DJ, Casey Kesler, a true delight to travel with, a wise cracker with a tendency to curse obscenities when mad, and not only is she a DJ... She's also a companion! While traveling she can be a pack mule, a bodyguard, and tell jokes from Ellie's pun book (last of us reference).
With the new station and the amount of work the mod author has done, the Commonwealth's radio stations feel much more enjoyable and lively, absurdly only get bigger and more impressive as the Author adds more to it (including a question and the affinity system to Casey), I can't recommend it enough.
This mod is for consoles and PC.
This is Bryn, signing off, until next time.
