Favourite Skill?

Hey folks! Kael here, with another question for all of you!

    1. What is your favourite skill from Morrowind? Why?
    2. What is your favourite skill from Oblivion? Why?
    3. What is your overall least favourite skill from both of those two games and why?

For me, I'd have to say:

    1. It's between Alteration and Enchanting. I love Alteration's levitation spells, but I love enchanting items just as much. I much preferred the Morrowind system where you could enchant items to use spells when cast.
    2. In Oblivion, my favourite skill would have to be Destruction. I was disappointed that Levitation had been removed, and that enchanting was no longer a skill. I liked destruction because of the variety of spells, ranging from disintegration spells to regular elemental spells to weakness spells...
    3. My least favourite skills were Armorer in Oblivion. It was just so boring, sitting there and repairing weapons. The repair hammers were also a little too easy to break, but with the perk at level 100, it became overpowered.

Over to you lovely folks: What are you favourite/least favourite skills? I want to know!

I don´t really have favourite skill in Morrowind, but in Oblivion...well, after messing around with Restoration on my Connoisseur, I am inclined to say Restoration. Absorb and Fortify spells are really powerful, and there is something really cool about sapping the strenght of your enemies to empower yourself.

Second favourite is probably Marksman. I just like to shoot people

Least favourite would be probably...Conjuration, I guess. The way how summoned creatures behave and all the stuff...meh, I just don´t like that skill. Though Bound armor and weapons are really cool.

Oh god, I hope you never get your hands on a gun - especially not the barrel of a gun.

I don't really like Oblivion's Bound Armor and Weapons much - they just look like regular armor. Now if they looked like the Mythic Dawn stuff, I'd be sold immediately.

Yeah, I was quite bothered by it too. Why Bethesda didn´t make the Bound Armor special? If they did the armor and weapons in similar fashion as Skyrim´s Bound weapons...damn.

I remember some mod for Skyrim which added Bound Armors. It looked so cool.

    1. Spear. I dont know why, it's just so much fun
    2. Conjuration (with finger snap animation) because so many diverse creatures and daedra to summon
    3. Alchemy. It's a huge thorn in my arse

I have difficulty choosing a single one skill above others...

    1. I like Long Blade because claymores, Spear's weapons are really cool too. I don't think I really have a favorite in Morrowind. Alteration is a strong contender as well, levitation is awesome, so is waterwalking.

    2. Definitely Block. best skill in the game. Also Blade, again because claymores. Conjuration's ok too, I had a lot of fun with my one bound armor & weapons character, sure they don't look different like in Skyrim, but the idea of summoning a suit of armor and weapons is why I like it.

    3. In Morrowind, Mercantile, but thats because of bugs. If you level Mercantile very high prices go up instead of down, making Speechcraft or Illusion have to replace Mercantile to get lower prices. In Oblivion, I'd say its Security. I dislike Oblivion's lockpicking, much prefer Skyrim's or Morrowind's lockpicking. Thankfully I can just easily get the Skeleton Key and brute force my way around.

You don´t like Oblivions lockpicking? I actually like it more. It is little bit harder than Skyrim, so you have to raise your Security to be able to unlock things easily. The Skeleton Key completely ruined the fun for me.

I always ended up breaking picks, and leaving chests unopened in caves or dungeons annoys me to no end. I like that Skyrim's is easier yet you still need to try. Morrowind just takes the simple route with Security and that's fine.

What annoyed me was that the loot in chests in caves or dungeons was never worth the lockpicking. Hard Lock only to find 23 Septims and Clay Vase? No thank you

Hey...A, uh warning here, I might have ranted a tiny bit about some stuff...Like Spears, so yeah.

    1:

So, the thing about Morrowind is it had one thing, well two that made  me enjoy the game 10 times more than I would have if it was built with Oblivion/Skyrim's skills. And those two things are Spears and Throwing Weapons. Now, I don't know what crackpot at Bethesda threw spears out of the mix, but if they want to show themselves I will fight the everliving crap out of them. Spears were not only a moderately diverse weapon type (though calling it Pole arms and including more types or long-ranged melee weapons) but they were fucking bad ass, imagine if we actually got Spears in Skyrim, combined with Mounted Combat and it would be sick as all hell. Spears were a kind of mixed weapon that allowed you a little bit of distance but didn't make you rely on Morrowind's shitty ranged combat (which was by far worse than the melee...which is saying a lot honestly) which made it a unique, and fun skill to use.

Now Throwing Weapons, let me tell you why these are great, they offer a completely different feel to the Marksman Skill (MARKSMAN NOT ARCHERY DAMN IT), and makes it way less boring then basically one weapon with different skins. Throwing Stars and Knives (and any other throwing weapons I'm missing) are totally badass, and makes it so you don't need to be an expert archer to make use of ranged weapons. They were great, Bethesda sucks for taking them from me (and don't you dare mention mods, they mostly suck) and my god if they didn't make Archery like in my top 5 (even though they did honestly still suck)

2: If I can't take Spellcasting as an unofficial school then I have to go either Conjuration or Enchanting. I'm actually a massive fan of Conjuration, and I'm generally pretty pissed off about how shitty it is in Skyrim (especially pre-dawnguard), Oblivion had a pretty good system, and more importantly tonnes of diversity with what you could summon, plus Bound Weapons. Enchanting was one of the cooler ones, just because it allowed some pretty awesome combos (though I do prefer Skyrim's system better, though I wouldn't say no to a mix)

3: I don't really have a least favorite...Probably something like the Armour skills in Oblivion, they were just dull. Oh and definetly Archery in Morrowind, hated that so much.
