  I one made a redguard character named "Shazra" and roleplayed that she was the one who sold out Tannis, not Iman (Saadia). Then she got a face change at the Ragged Flagon, and led the alik'r right to her rival, to send back to Hammerfell in her place.

  My headcanon is that Ysolde idolises/wants to be Maven Blackbriar.  She's a drug dealer, working with a group of dishonest people outside the city walls, and can get a position of influence in the city when I kill Hulda.

  Also, Lokir isn't dead!  He only got hit by one arrow, and snuck out of Helgen whilst no-one was looking.

  I think the true reason that Ulfric started the war was because he wanted the Empires tasty Nachos.
