  so can anybody confirm for me that the "sunfire" spells you get from the dawnguard level up restoration? i just cleared a entire dungeon of dragur with nothing but Sun Fire and my restoration bar didnt move a bit.

  Hmmm...good question. Haven't used it that much. I would think it would. Why wouldn't it? That's weird....

  It seems to have leveled mine a little bit. Not much though.

  It may be that you need to use Vampire's Bane and Stendarr's aura because they cost more, thus leveling you more.

  possibly, ill try more when i get to those higher spells, but i swear it didn't move a inch, id think even with it doing very little id at least SEE the bar move some after a whole dungeon with at least 15+ undead cleared out.

  Its only a low level spell and after one of the updates they tweaked the way spells level up. Try one of the more powerful ones it should have more impact on your levelling.
