The Adventures of Kaitlyn Stonewater - Part One

  • I woke up in ice cold water. Upside down and completely disoriented. Panicked I looked around. Realizing where I was and what must have happened I swam for air. Not much space but I found it, my life line, breathing deep and thankful to be alive.

Shipwrecked. No other survivors. There were icebergs all around the overturned ship. I grabbed what supplies I could, but most of it was under water. I didn't want to be under longer than I had to be, I had a long, cold swim ahead of me. I took all the clothing and any useful items from my dead shipmates and fastened everything to me as best I could. I looked back at my friends, said goodbye, looked across the water and paused.

The view was quite breathtaking! I could see the white blue shore line, but it was a lot farther away than I first realized. I took a deep breath and dove into the dark icy water. I thought my heart would stop. All I could do was swim. Kick my legs and flail my arms and never look back. So that's what I did.

When I reached the shore I didn't really have time to stop and think. I just knew I had to keep moving. Needed to get to a town and get warm and get supplies. My trek over the deadly icy mountain side was hard fought. Beast abound in the arctic desert. Wolves, horkers, snow bears, sabre cats and even skeevers. Nothing but corpses along the way. I didn't think my chances of survival were very good at this point.

The place I needed to get to was high up the mountain, teetering on its own snow and ice laden platform. I wondered how it didn't plummet into the sea below. Must be the magic I thought. But that was my safe haven. The college of Winterhold. Where the magic swarms and dances all around you. Where you can hold life in one hand and death in the other. This is where I wanted to go.

Yes that was the first time I ever tried the shipwreck one. I had no idea what to expect. I thought it was pretty cool and slightly jarring. It was a good distance and too many horkers in between LOL

Thanks Jasper! Since I have quite a few all ready I'm going to try and copy them all as soon as possible.
