  • NOTE TO THE READER:
This post contains in depth information about Hyldes personality and serves as a charactersheet.

    Background:

    Where did they live?
    Falinesti/Valenwood

If non-native, how did they get to Skyrim?
    By carriage.

    Why are they there?
Hyldes set out to collect litterature from Skyrim, to add to the royal library of Falinesti.
Unknowing of the political situation and the hereby increased vigilance on the borders, she walked into Skyrim and right into an Emperial ambush.

How do they feel about the current status quo in Skyrim?
She can relate to how the nords feel, since the Bosmer where close to loosing Valenwood once too.
However, it is not a battle she's prepaired to fight, and since the The Empire has been a good alliance to her people she'd probably take up their side if she had to choose.

What social class was their family? How did they feel about that?
High-middleclass. Hyldes family was a happy and humble family.

What kind of parents/guardians did they have? Were there any specific traditions or rules?
Hyldes family worked in the Falinesti court. Her father was an assistant cook, and her mother was the 2nd royal librarian and scribe. Although they lacked freetime, the family had a safe and satisfying life as court servants.

Was their upbringing traditional, progressive, or fringe compared to their community?
Hyldes childhood was very safe but she struggled to find friends in the royal court. She'd run off of Falinesti in the summer and try to live on her own in the Forrests of Valenwood.

What kind of education did they receive?
Hyldes parrents aknowledged the wits, agility and loving heart of their daughter and throughout her upbringing they would encourage her to study hard and to work on her skills. Her mother would secretly bring home a new book from the Royal Library for Hylde to read every month.

(For long lived races) How did the Oblivion crisis affect them? Their family?
Hyldes was'nt born yet. It was during this time that her mother got promoted to 2nd royal librarian because of her brilliant and dedicated scribing-efforts during the crisis.

(For those over the age of 30) How did the Great War affect them? Their family?
This war took place during Hyldes early childhood. Luckily she and her parrents where safe in the court of Falinesti. Her mother was very busy during this time, and her father was often alone with Hyldes as a result of that.

What is their patron god/gods? What role have they played in the character's life?
    Julianos, Kynareth, Mara.

What do they think of the: Aedra? Daedra? Other racial pantheons?
As most Wood Elf's, Hyldes believes that the existence of Mundus can be devided in two aspects of matter – the darker and the lighter. Therefore she worshippes both the Aedra and the Daedra, but where as she worshippes the Aedra out of love and hope, she worshippes the Daedra out of awe.
Also, since the Wood Elfs ancestors where part-demons, at some levels they share a bond with the Daedra.

What do they hate most of all? Why?
At this point she does not hate anyone in particular. As part of her race, she dislikes the Thalmore for behaving in such an arrogant and tyrannical way.

What do they want most of all? What are they willing to do to obtain that?
First off, Hyldes hopes to collect a copy of all litterature in Skyrim to impress the Bosmer king and secure her families place in the court – and her own heritage of her mothers duties when time comes. Secondly she dreams of perfecting her archery skills. To obtain these goals she is willing to work hard, and travel far.

Any notable quirks, ticks, or habits (think of at least 1 for each)?
She generally avoids sleeping indoors. She's a little insecure about social interactions.

What do they fear (think of 1 fear or justify no fears)? What are they willing to do to avoid that?
She fears that her journey to Skyrim wont bring her the literary treasure that is necessary to secure impress the Bosmer king. She also fears that the Bosmer will be degraded further in the racial hirachy of Tamriel. She will join the forces of her people if necessary.

What do they think of sacred places (IE crypts, shrines, temples, etc)?
Such places are of great value to Hyldes.

What is the hardest thing they've ever had to do? How did it affect them?
She had to escape a pack of wolfs one of the times she had camped in forrests of Valenwood as a kid. She quickly discovered that trying run from them would'nt help, so she climbed a tree. One of the wolfs bit her leg as she crawled up and it bled and hurt a lot. After some hours the wolfs where gone and she could come back down, carefully not to further hurt her leg. The wound from the wolfbite was so bad that she could'nt walk for 12 days, while she had a bandage on it. And her parrents forced her to lay or sit still for all that time. Luckily she recovered completely.

What is the best moment of their life so far? Worst? How did that affect them?
When her whole family gathered up in Valenwood for a whole week. This happened every fall. Hyldes has a lot of cousins and they would all play together at these gatherings. One of her cousins is Faendal from Riverwood in Skyrim.

I'd suggest removing this blog, not for it's wrong or anything but because you give up too much information about your character which will be better revealed through the story
