Remember: The tales of a Lost Man (Chapter:1)

  •         Today started off just like any other day. I woke up around 7:00 a.m. and prepared to go to work. I work at a library and spend my days shelving, searching, and helping patrons. When I get off I go home to play video games or hangout with my girlfriend and/or friends. I'm twenty-one and this is my life.

My drive to work while not long gives me enough time to think on different things. This morning specifically I was thinking of how much I miss my significant other. We have been together a bit over two years and I quite content with her. The trip takes less time then usual and I arrive to work about ten minutes early. I gather my things and head in.

I can see already that there are things to put away and that we have some new books in, as well as some donations some of which look quite old. I begin to shelve things, while my coworkers process the new books and donations. I finish within a short period of time and we open. I greet the regulars and ask the same old how are you doing questions. The hours pass by and my time to get off is closing in quite fast. The donations are done being processed and ready to be put away. I grab them and head into the stacks placing them where they belong. A book here, a book there, and it's then that I pick a heavier than normal book and have to look down. The book is huge and very very old. I run my hands along the clothe covered hardback just to feel how worn it was. The title was The Elder Scrolls.

Intrigued I open the book and find that it is a world or maybe even dimension all its own. Fascinated I turn page after page looking at the titles of different chapters and stories, till I finally find a paged entitled Skyrim : Tale of the Dragonborn. I read the title out loud in wonder of its content. That's when things changed dramatically. The book began to shake and quiver. I could feel the world responding to the books reaction. The shelves of books around me flew off hitting me and flying in every which direction. Then the ground began to shake and the lights started to flicker. I crouch down and cover my head saying to myself over and over again this must be a dream. I must not be awake yet. I heard the boom and then saw my world collapse on me and swallow me whole.

When I finally began to wake up I could hear some sort of continuous squeak and the shuffling of people around me. Maybe I was buried under the shelves and books I thought. Then I heard something else. The sound of hooves, horses I thought how is that even possible. I stirred myself more to be able to open my eyes. I opened my eyes to the grim face of a pale complected man with long blonde hair. The man looked at me for a moment saw me opening my eyes and said " Hey you awake over there?"

Interesting... Reminds me of ArcanusLex's discussion The Real You in Skyrim. I'm intrigued to see how it goes
