Kyne's Gifts

  • The Sky calls to me,

    The Trees sing to me,

    The Wilderness beckons,

    I answer.

    The crowded city streets,

    Under my feet,

    They make me long

    For freedom,

    and Kyne.

    Alone,

    Under the Stars,

    My fire gently burning,

    I feel alive.

I swig a tankard of mead,

    The fiery spirits burning.

    In contentment,

    I sigh.

    The Sun burning bright,

    No clouds in sight.

    The blue sky,

    Fills me with joy.

    The whip of a bow,

    A knife spinning in flight,

    The swing of an axe,

    I hunt.

    On a mountain top

    I stand.

    Watching the clouds drift by

    I feel free.

    The roar of a dragon,

    No more than a memory.

    I freed the people,

    I am proud.

    Alone, but never.

    Just myself, the stars,

    the sun, the sky,

    the clouds, the mountains,

    and Kyne.

    I come back home,

    To the place

    I always

    Return.

    Seeing her smile,

    And the children’s grins,

    I know,

    I made the right choice.

    Kyne

    These gifts

    Of Wind, Water,

    Of Mountain, Tundra,

    And of my family,

    Which without you,

    Would not be.

These things, they fill my life,

    With joy.

    Oh Kyne,

    Guide me,

    Forever,

    With your grace.

Author's Note: This is my contribution to the Dibellan Rites. This was really fun to make, and a big thank you to Legion and Edana, who let me post all this stuff about their build.

@Ebon I know the feeling, I'm pretty sure I've scoured every semi-recent blog post on here, and then some.
@Exuro Hope your backpacking trip goes well! I've always loved nature, so this was made a lot easier by that.

If it is anything like this then it will be another story to read. And more stories = next piece of reading comes sooner.

Thanks a ton Ebonslayer! I have to warn you, I'm just a beginner, so don't expect Lissette type stuff.

Thanks! Maybe I'll do one for Ma’osri when she gets further established into the story....
