A Poem Of Remembrance
Here lies I, worn by time's sentence,
Picked out by fate, Shor's deliverance,
Breathing in my soul, a vain repentance,
For those my kin, of wasted innocence
Gallant and proud, regal and resolute,
Naive and callous, an unshroued ingenuity,
Etched into my mind, a memory absolute,
Of savage unthinakble, no remorse...no pity
Rest slain by torment, of earsplitting shrieks,
Sleep torn by anguish, of infants' vain cries,
Calm ravaged by guilt, till hours, days and weeks,
Blind eyes behold, as kin-souls ascend the skies
Yet I stay grateful, for one spared by fate,
From out misery's depths , arose an impenetrable spirit,
Descending from the Gods, a twist of fate,
Equalled by none, to Atmora a father befit
Thus commenced our Return, a brewing storm,
O' how we united, in sword and shield,
Thus raged our wrath, dead heart beats warm,
O' how we thought back, in healing tears unveiled
Sword for sword, tragedy for tragedy,
Nord's fury unleashed, rejoice my Son,
Slaughter for slaughter, glory for glory,
Sovngarde's roar, two realms in one
Now Alas.....
Here lies I, bereft of all grace,
Kin-spirits above beckon, end life's fears,
Among companions, none a better place,
Forever I wait, on the Night of Tears.....
