The Rueful Diary (A Poem of Repentance)

  •  A Poem of Repentance

    Alas I sense no purpose,
    Once again, plunged into melancholy,
Tears at heart, on the surface,
    For none foreknew her folly

    O' ye treason, common perpetrator,
    How shrouded yet, you be,
    O' unsung orchestrator,
Drown did the very Gods, into thine deepest sea

    Blinded so by flustered wit,
O' Mother, thine unsaid signs unheeded,
Misplaced ire, she covered with grit,
'Twas thine volition, made her so conceited

Ripped from within, ally turned foe,
    Fire-flames who gleamed their might,
Charred souls damned since long ago,
With dread let be witnessed a grim sight

    Yet stay, o' valiant Astrid,
    For bloody retribution is due,
With this sacrament as ye undid,
In the Void, will thine salvation ensue

Hereafter I, herald of all misgiving,
Annihilator of all mirth & good,
    None further unforgiving
    than...
I, the end of mine own Brotherhood

This is ridiculously beautiful. How long does it take you to write these poems?

You really get the emotion behind the words in the poem. Very nice work.
