I tend to shy away from ability scores above 14 with point buy systems these days. Your minmaxing is bold, but doable for a character who doesn't Choppy McSlice and therefore needs much less durability.

Yeah, I feel like I took more debuffs, but 18 Consular levels gives you so many powers it's actually hard to spend them all meaningfully! Force Wave is nice for dark side as an alternative stunning method, if you go Scoundrel 8-9 and/or bring Mission along. But it's also just great as a powerful defensive knockback for a more wizard-like Force power specialist, isn't it! I gotta ask though, why Canderous? Zaalbar with two vibroblade is devastating. :P

I'm the same way. I go 16 if I really want to try something different, but 14 is my max.

For the usual lightsaber+powers main character, pretty much every ability score is useful, except maybe Intelligence. Persuade is the only real important skill for the player, and for a dark sider there's always the Force to dominate minds... every other skull can be covered by just Mission and Zaalbar when needed. But really, with your two Jedi companions, you can melt through doors, heal from traps, and wreck droids. So no skills ate truly required to play. Of course, getting the highest possible Wis and Cha had its advantages on my light side Consular... like DC 46 saving throws against her powers :D

Variety's sake, really. I use Canderous on some playthroughs (usually dark side ones) and Zaalbar for others (usually light side ones). Since this was a dark side playthrough I went with Canderous.

Oh, okay.  I've only ever used Canderous on a sorta soldier-ish playthrough with a blaster rifle and armor.  Kinda like your... er, what was that build called again?  I just poked at it last night.  Anyway, my whole team was built around ranged combat and using armor and grenades.

You have to switch to vibroblades/lightsabers when enemies close on you (which is often) but usually you can get all of them to rush one lead character while the other two continue shooting.  Zaalbar's good for the rakatan/rancor nonsense, but most of the game is doable with just blasters.

I like ion and disruptor rifles and upgrade effects.  It's fun to have extra damage against shields, or bypass them altogether!  The Baragwin upgradeables from the DLC are really fun to play around with, even if they maybe aren't the strongest rifle in every situation.

Yep, that's the one. A bit different from how I envision it, but we're going after different goals with force powers, so that's a given!
