Actually from a game mechanics point of view fire is the best element.  The Disintegrate perk causes your shock magic to destroy potential zombies, Deep Freeze causes frost magic to paralyze the target and there is bug that caused zombies to just walk in place and not do anything else if they were created from a body that was paralyzed.  Fire just causes thing to run away briefly before they die.  So, while not the best thematic choice, fire is the best technical choice.

I always avoid the disintegrate perk, I never cared for it, I don't see the point from a combat perspective of turning bodies to ash, unless you're like a paladin who wants to cut off a necromancers summonings, which I never do.

Disintegrate is actually quite useful. Everything not immune to its effect ( very few enemies fall into that category) essentially has 15% less health to work with. But for a necromancer disintegrate is definitely problematic:

Might wanna update your rank tag.

I came in earlier for the express reason to update my tags, but then I got distracted by other things and completely forgot.  Thanks for the reminder Curse.

You get to meet a sload in Moonpath to Elsweyr and then one again in Immersive College of Winterhold. They are a blast.

Oh man, I love the Immersive College Mod, it's just so fun
