Stupid question time...how would you recreate an artifact from an older game?  Via enchanting etc?  Is there anywhere with a list of unique items that could be enchanted to comply with the rules?  I'm thinking any unique item is already an artifact...so I'm confused.

The UESP Link has items considered artifacts, mostly found in lore books found in game. Unique items are generally weapons and armor with an enchantment on them found in game

So to "recreate" on means finding a Skyrim artifact with the same enchants and just calling it something from another game?  Seems impossible...since that would make the the same artifact already right?

It's more about using Enchanting to mimic the effects (OR I suppose other magical effects) Say you wanted to recreate Duskfang, you might combine a Frost Enchantment and Magicka Absorb on a Steel Sword or something.

I hope that helps a bit

OK that helps immensely so you can take a regular non-unique item such as a steel axe, place enchantments on it to create something else correct?

Yes, as long as it closely resembles an Artifact from a previous Elder Scrolls game.

A good example is how Alastor recreated the Dragonbone Cuirass from Morrowind in this build.

I would like to know what "revolves around" really entails here. I assume its not just enough to have our character use the item, but to what end do you want us to explain it?
