That may work for some builds but I don't think it will for this one.

    - There are three leveled examples of perks (20, 35, and 50), so listing them all together would be problematic, at the very least only indicative of a level 50 build (which only about 4 of my characters have ever achieved, and two of them with grinding). Plus, Path skills.

    - Equipment is heavily dependent on your Path. Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood armor is only available to two of the Paths, one of them doesn't gain Crossbows or Exploding Bolts, Chillrend and the Blade of Woe are locked out of more than half the paths... it's a nightmare. That's why the Strategy section gives general guidelines for how you progress your gear, but no specific 'end-game' equipment.

    - Factions, well, you get the idea. Dawnguard's the only sorta 'mandatory' questline to take, either for enhanced crossbows of the vampire lord ability. Everything else is highly optional, and I felt no reason to list every single interesting quest in the game.

Ultimately the Paths serve as the 'table' you are looking for, Psi. They give weapons and armor, a favored questline, a bonus skill, and a favored shout. I can't create a consolidated table because the Paths ultimately CAN'T be consolidated.

Think of the build up to the Paths as the 'chassis', the 'core' of the build so to speak. Any vanilla Prince of Ravens build will follow those rules and that advice regardless of other choices. The Paths are like 'modules', plug-and-play options you can add to the 'core' of the class while still having it function roughly the same.

Ultimately I think this is a role-play build and to try to reduce it to its component parts for 'easier reading' disrupts the intent of the build, which is to create something that integrates both fluff and crunch in interesting, meaningful ways.

Those were just for examples.  Advice is Advice, take it, or leave it.  I like the Skyrim Calculator, but the host/mirrors are unreliably up, or down at any given time.  I'm not saying don't use it, I'm just saying don't depend on the links working every time someone reads this.  Some backups would be very helpful.

    I'm done.

I'm sorry if I came off as defensive, I simply disagree with you on a few of your points.

I appreciate your comments and criticisms and will definitely apply those to builds should they prove relevant given the circumstances.

I have very little (i.e. no) experience creating links, but I would not mind linking to the Skyrim Perk Calculator. It's a good visual representation that I find most useful when creating my builds. Thank you for that.

Mat from the Wheel of Time series. I salute you. You get a like, for sure! Very good build!

Thank you Dylan. He's my favorite character from the series, and one of my favorite characters of all time. The hard part was replicating his fighting style with Skyrim mechanics, but I think it came out alright.

I tried to insert quotes and subtle hints to the series without coming out and saying "Hey, this is totally Mat from the Wheel of TIme, best char EVAR, like and comment!"

I wanted to be subtle, and I think it came out better for it. Plus I had a blast writing it, which I think is important to a good build - it has to be entertaining to read as well as play.

Again, thank you for your comment.

I agree completely. I am partial to Perrin or Lan myself, but Mat is an awesome character never the less.

I saw those subtle hints, and I say that you did very well with the insinuations.

I agree that it has to be entertaining, or else who would put the time into reading the build through and through to see what its about?

And the comment is my pleasure. Any time, my friend. Any time.

Perrin can be fun, though Lan gets old after a while. There's only so many times you can say 'his face was stone' before it gets old. Still a cool character though. Me, I'm partial to the scrappy farmboy surviving in a world with world-shattering mages just on his wits and the skin of his teeth.

I've seen a lot of good build that present a great idea but don't reinforce it with interesting Lore or an intriguing backstory. Too many focus on the mechanics and not enough on the process, the feeling you're trying to evoke through gameplay.

Always good to meet a friendly person online, and a Wheel of Time fan to boot!

I agree with all of the above, including that Lan can get tiring after a while.

I can see what you mean, in the sense of feeling the character instead of just killing time... And bandits :D

I always try to be friendly, and Wheel of Time is a great series, even if the library is missing most of the books. Just finished the third, but can't get the fourth. Curse my luck. I have to do something random, and it'll work. haha

In tabletop RPG lingo, there are two terms - Fluff and Crunch. Fluff is the flavor, concept, and role-playing applications of what you're reading, while Crunch is the actual mechanical qualities of the material in question.

This is a Fluff build. It's role-play oriented, not gameplay oriented. It was designed to evoke the feel and flavor of the character first, and to function as a strong build second. As such, I think presenting a wealth of text is integral to its purpose.

80% of this build could be removed while still giving the bare-bones mechanics, but I think it's that 80% is the BEST part of this build. Without the flavor it's just a Scout with a couple of options to tweak it. The Fluff makes the Prince of Ravens stand out, and more, I think it's what makes it fun.

I understand your point of view but I disagree, Ben. It's good advice in general but I think it would be the wrong decision in this case.

Well, there was the character's name at the top of one of the portraits, and the first 4 words were "The Wheel of Time..."  Subtle!  Great build, about the only thing I'd change it going two handed.  (In the hopes that we might some day have a decent Spears mod..:()
