    Interesting read Dragonborn.

Its interesting to see how valuable staves and scrolls become when you are speed running the game, seeing as normally they are rarely used.

I'll put your time down in the discussion and we'll see if anyone can beat it!

I always underestimate how powerful they really can be, I mean a fireball scrolls is invaluable because I didnt have much power behind my swings (hitting 25 I think with my mace), Staves were rarer but early on the Conjuration ones were flawless. I wouldn't be surprised if my time was easily beat, I speed run by only doing the quest I still end up looting everything, which takes a long time.

Well I'm not signing up for the Tips & Tricks group, but I did complete the game in less than 20 minutes! Of course I took my time browsing through all the features at character creation. Once I escaped Helgen, I opened the console (~) , typed "caqs", and closed it back. Dayum'!

Would becoming a werewolf be considered off limits because of the gained damage sustainability? Same goes for thr dragon aspect shout? What of magic resistance or spell absorption I.e. the atronach stone/perk?

The Rules only state no AR and Dragon Aspect gives you an AR so it's out. Werewolf should be fine as far was I know sense that's Damage Reduction which is slightly different (like Beserker Rage which Twisted said was fine so it should be good). Magic Resist and Absorb should be alright but if you're planning you're run for that I'd wait for Twisted to confirm, since I'm mostly just guessing.

It took me 5 hours 16 minutes and 39 seconds to complete the Main Questline. I started on Legendary difficulty, but moved it down to Master after Ustengrav. I went down to Expert when I fought Alduin for the first time because I was still using poor-ish quality weapons(elven sword, elven bow, steel arrows), but set it back to Master after that.

My race of choice was Dunmer. I would use Ancestor's Wrath if I ever found myself in trouble, and the flame resistance saved my hide more than once. Stat wise, I went with an even 1-1-1 until my Magicka got to 200(with an Apprentice Hood), then I went with 0-2-1. Skill wise, I played as a typical Nightblade minus the Light Armour. Sneak, One-Hand, Destruction, Archery, Illusion and Alchemy where my skills of choice. My tactics were fairly simple: sneaking in the shadows backstabing or shooting any enemy that I encountered. When I was forced into open combat, I would rely on Frenzy and Flame spells with my Elven Sword that I got from the dead Redoran Guard outside Raven Rock.

Gear wise, I used the Novice Robes and Hood that I got from Helgen. From Riverwood I went straight to Bleak Falls Barrow. As soon as I got to the Whiterun Stables I went to Dawnstar to get some Soul Gems and enchanted gear from the hidden chest. At around level 3(just after Sahloknir, I took a trip to Raven Rock to get the Elven Sword and Bow from the dead Redoran Guard. I was also fortunate enough to find the mad apprentice who was trying to fly, so I also got an Apprentice Robe and Hood. Shouts and Spell wise, I used Flames and Firebolt, Frenzy, Fire Breath and Become Ethereal

The places that I had trouble with was at:

The Thalmor Embassy: All those crazed mages everywhere made it hard to sneak attack enemies. If it wasn't for Ancestor's Wrath I would have died many more times. Archery was pretty useless in there, so Flames and One-Hand really shined there.

Blackreach: All of those damn Trolls and Falmer really took a toll on my time. I stoped off at Windhelm to enchant my sword with fire dammage before hand though, so it wasn't THAT difficult.

Alduin: The first time that I fought him I had to lower the difficulty level to Expert. My sword was the only enchanted weapon that I had, but the enchantment was running extremly low, so Archery and Firebolt really took the lead there. The second time around I enchanted my bow with Shock dammage and I was using Elven/Dwarven Arrows.

Overall, It was quite a fun yet challenging playthrough. I normally play on Adept/Expert with high AR armour, so it definently was different. I really wish that the blog had more events like this, it was very fun.

    That's so close to Dragonborn's!

Close so close, man I have no idea how you managed that time (well actually I know what slowed me down so I'm assuming you didn't loot everything you could). So my approach to Blackreach was faster but you seem to have defeated Alduin way quicker, it's interesting to see we both had trouble with the same areas and how for Alduin we both lowered the difficulty, you seemed to fair better here because of your ranged attacks, I had to Dragonrend him both times, distract him with Lydia and the attack from the sides, and continue the pattern for about twenty minutes. Good Luck mate and you did great on this.

Thanks. I only really looted the boss chests at the end of a dungeon  and any arrows that I could find. Blackreach and the trips to Dawnstar and Raven Rock did slow me down a little bit, but Archery really helped save time.

Good luck to you to too Dragonborn.
