Hello everyone and welcome to the latest Character Building Event! Now I know that we said that we’d be alternating between events and contests, but we’re holding off on doing a contest this time for a very special end of the year event. We promised to make Crossworlds an annual event, and now it’s back again for round two!
For those of you who weren’t around when we ran it the first time, I’ll explain what the theme of Crossworlds is. Simply put, your build must be based on a character (or a class, faction, etc.) from a fictional universe other than The Elder Scrolls, or even from real life! However, you cannot make any direct references to your inspiration. In other words, you need to “Skyrimize” your inspiration. What do I mean by that? I’m going to steal Noodles’ explanation for this.
I want people to find similarities between the Elder Scrolls world and the chosen universe/character, then greatly expand on them. Have a look at the Daughter of Coldharbour, my take on Sylvanas Windrunner. Sylvanas Windrunner was turned against her will into an undead. Every Daughter of Coldharbour is raped (something against her will) before being turned into a pure vampire (or undead). The two are both archers with necromantic powers that have a knack for possessing people or bending their minds. Why does the DoC like enslaving or dominating people? Because Molag Bal, her master, is the daedric prince of domination. I just took the original concept and made it work, made it feel natural in the Elder Scrolls world using lore and a lot of imagination. This is what it means to Skyrimze a character.
There are two exceptions to this rule. First, you can include artwork of your inspiration in the build. Second, you can talk directly about your inspiration at the end of the build. For more examples, check out last year’s Crossworlds builds.
Rules and Requirements
If you have any questions about the event then feel free to post them in the comments below and one of the CB hosts or someone else will answer it for you. Also, you might’ve noticed that the posting window for this build is a little later than last time and it’s also twice as long. This is because Crossworlds saw significantly more builds than any other event before or since, and we’re hoping to see similar success this time around. After the 21st of December, we’ll take a quick break; then we’ll announce a brand new contest at the beginning of 2016. Finally, be sure to keep an eye out for any Hall of Fame announcements over the next couple of days; we’ll start adding new builds to it in the very near future!
Confirmed Participants
NOTICE!
This event has closed as of the 21th of December at 12:00 AM EST.
Any build submitted after this point will not be included in this event or be listed among the other participants that took part.

Trust me Fevnall, I know a lot about Revan, I've played the KoTOR games religiously + read the KoTOR series (Though admittedly i have yet to play The Old Republic MMO) and have thought a lot about this character from both a Roleplay and Gameplay point of view (I've been working on a Revan Build since I released the Lightsworn, so a couple months now)
If I did end up creating the build it wouldn't be that special in terms of Builds here. I generally like to make a build interesting from a Gameplay and Roleplay perspective and Revan is either a combination of Mage and Spellsword. He's my favorite character of all time, but Vanilla Skyrim can't do him justice. I could try a SkyRe Revan, and that would work well, it adds a lot of cool spells which come right out of Star Wars (Push, Pull, a Gravity Spell, more interesting vanilla spells).
So trust me mate, I don't need any pumping up for Revan, at all, I have ideas that simply can't be replicated easily with this Event, or more precisely Vanilla Skyrim (I don't want to play Modded Build for this) but I will be re-creating Revan at a later date, when I can play it at great lengths with mods. (In other words, I call dibs on Revan)
Thanks for trying to pump me up for it though Fevnall. Though trust me, both Fenris and Merrill are going to be way more interesting builds (I do believe I have a problem with Dragon Age 2 Builds, this will be my 2nd and 3rd for Crossworlds)
