Ebony Blade at ANY LEVEL

    *To do this all you need is a wooden plate(s)*

    First, grab your plate (you should be able to pick one of these up anywhere, and if for some reason you can't find one, you can buy one from local merchants)

    Second, travel to Whiterun's Dragonsreach, and go to the basement below the kitchen.

    Third, drop your wooden plate on the ground, pick it up, and face it towards the wall next to the locked door.

    Fourth, sprint through, and you should find your way into the room with the Blade and the book on how to use it.
    To get out of the room, take your wooden plate (if you cannot find it, use another wooden plate. If you do not have one, load another save and go get one. This isn't very time consuming so it shouldn't be much of a bother) and do what you did to get in the room. You should be teleported to the entrance of Dragonsreach with your new Ebony Blade.

     

    ***NOTE

    -Once you reach level 20 and are allowed to pick up the quest, you cannot complete it.

    -You will not be able to drop it, place it in a chest, or display it because of it still being a quest item.

    How did you confirm this on all 3 systems?

    I myself didn't confirm this, I have seen it done on all 3 systems. I personally confirmed it on Xbox though.

    I tried doing this on PS3,and a cabinet was right in front of the door and it blocked my way in.

    Does not work as of 1.9.26.0.8

    It adds a cabinet behind the door disabling the character to glitch through. I personally tried (on Xbox) to go through the side and multiple walls in Dragonsreach but to no success. It seems that the entire room does not show up when you glitch through the wall...may just be mine, but either way it does not work any more.

    This works as of 09/18/2014. I did it this morning with a wooden plate. You have to jump up on the dresser to the left of the door and glitch through the wall. To get out I had to glitch in then jump and turn around backward to get out. Sorry for double post I'm on PS3.
