If I could draw this well, I'd be working for Bethesda right now collecting a fat paycheck.
Welcome to the Artist's Corner. A humble little corner of the art group, where artists of the blog of all skill levels can discuss techniques, trade ideas, and gain valuable input on their own creations. This is your place to pick each other's brains and come out knowing something new whether it be a photo-shop technique, a new artistic style, or anything.

Alright, lets begin this discussion with something thats proven quite difficult for me to master. Its a popular art style known as speed painting. The advantages of speed painting are many. You dont have to worry about lines nearly as much. You can go straight to painting after scribbling a few lines and stick figures to guide your stroke. And as the name implies, its fast! Concept artists use it a lot to get ideas on a canvas quick.
I got a few hang ups about getting into this style. Part of the problem is how fixated I am on line art. I like that style, but it can be time consuming. The biggest problem I have is that I haven't found a tutorial that can explain this style concisely enough for me to understand.
So help me out Art Group. Teach me how to speed paint, or at least point me in the direction of a good tutorial on the subject.
