I wouldn't worry too much about how many likes a TOC gets. It's the story itself which matters. TOC's can get burried for months at a time yet with each posting of a chapter, the writer gains readers and likes. The TOC however is a great way for the writer to show off his story and act as a centeral hub for their story.

I agree, Sotek. But it IS nice to see the author and the story get a little well-deserved 'publicity' on the site. I always like to think of the TOC page as a place where readers can discuss the story or ask questions that wouldn't really fit the actual chapter blog-posts. ^^ I personally like to use mine as a place for updates.

I absolutely agree.
That's why we allow 'bumping' of our TOC's. It's a simple and extremely effective way of broadcasting our updates as well as those cries for help when we feel low and unmotivated. We can lay out our goals and talk about our stories on a whole without clamming up a specific chapter with a heavy conversation about the chapter posted three weeks before.
The other thing to remember is that Tamriel Tales isn't a fast paced group. Members often feel disillusioned when their story pulls in the odd one or two likes. Legion’s TOC is only three months old. I’m fully confident that with time, Legion’s story will stand shoulder to shoulder alongside other stories currently out there.
