    Inheritance

The year is 4E 218, 17 years since Alduin the world-eater was vanquished by the Last Dragonborn; and Alarne a young nord having only just reached manhood has finally discovered the last known location of his parents. And so only days before his birthday he uses the cover of night to sneak out of Solitude, the city that has been his whole world up until now; with the help of his friend the Solitude stable boy Blaise he manages to acquire a horse for his travels. Yet fearing the wrath of Katla along with Alarne's elder sisters, Blaise decides to tag along and he is grudgingly accepted.

    Alarne, son of the Dragonborn

Growing up in the shadow of the Dragonborn has left Alarne seeking a way to prove himself to the world and his quest to find his parents has provided him with just that. And so just a week before his 16th birthday he sets off in search of his parents.

    Blaise

An orphan living on Katla’s Farm during the events of Skyrim; while he may be several years Alarne’s senior the two share a bond of friendship that ignores this difference. Due to the beatings the two would receive from Alarne’s sisters he holds a fear of them that is most obvious when Runa is in a bad mood.

    Runa Fair-Shield

One of Alarne’s adopted sisters; Runa aspired to be a warrior to prove to those around her that she can do anything better than the boys can. Although she is strict with her younger brother, she cares for him deeply to the point that she becomes furious with him and Blaise when he is placed in danger.

    Sofie

Often the peace keeper between Runa and their younger brother; Sofie is more likely to simple stand and watch a conversation, only interjecting when she thinks it is necessary. After having lost two sets of parents she tends to hide her thoughts and feelings behind a mask of calm acceptance; so far Alarne has been the only one capable of breaking this mask.

    Sheliah aka Black Rose

A Dunmer who to the general public is known as Thane Sheliah if Riften; amongst the citizens of Riften it is rumoured that she is the one keeping Jarl Maven Black-Briar leashed, and as such is well liked. Yet what very few known is that she is also the feared criminal Black Rose; the Listener to the Night Mother and the Master of the Thieves Guild.

This character was born from a combination of my own imagination and what I know of my proof-reader.

    Short Stories:

Excerpt from a blood soaked journal

Blood stained remains of a journal found lying within one of Skyrim's many ancient tombs, detailing the life of both a villian and a hero.

    Black Rose

Set 5 years after the events of Skyrim and 12 years before Alarne sets out on his journey; discover how Black Rose has managed to influence Jarl Maven Black-Briar.

My original intention when writing this piece was to learn more of the character i had created by combining my proofreader and my imagination and i personally am happy with the outcome.

    Things Best Forgotten

A glimpse into what the life of one Aldmeri war veteran has become as he seeks a way to forget his past.

I actually have a half-written copy of chapter 11 on my phone; I think. I had to wait about an hour after my course one day so I started writing to pass the time.

Consider the last time I posted a chapter was November last year and under a different name no less, it's not a surprise that you hadn't heard of it.

Xarxes Arse! I'll be back as well. Setting up Albee for some screenshots for the new chapter.

Having people visibly reading Inheritance (and by that I mean that I know are reading it) might just be enough to get me back into writing it.

By the way I've never heard anyone say "Xarxes Arse" before, I might just start using it.

We've all got our little sayings. One of mine is 'For howling out loud'. You better get back into reading lol. Are all your short stories on here?

It's one of several colorful metaphors for my Altmer character.

It's another way to drop the f-bomb without actually dropping it. Gnewna came up with Oghma's tits, which is another one I use and I came up with Scamp's Blood, which is a more mild curse, but Xarxes Arse and Oghma's Tits are bad. Naughty Altmer when he says that.

I'm not sure if you meant writing or reading

On my desktop I have a folder called "random writing" and in that folder there is one called "stuff I never finished (which is a separate folder from the one labeled "Inheritance".

Yeah their all there, there is a forth one that I haven't finished writing and I just checked my phone and found 3 paragraphs of chapter eleven on it.

I think I've finely worked out where I want this to go and at least the vaguest idea of how I want it to get there. This will mean either one of two things a) I might start righting chapters more frequently or b) I'll continue to be a lazy ass and procrastinate while lamenting that I can't get the voices in my head to shut up about writing the next chapter
