WiP Contest Build: The High Rock Corsair

This is a build who's concept I've been experimenting with over the past few months. In summary, The Corsair is my take on a High Rock outlaw, one that uses his wits just as much as his brawn. The classic rogue gameplay is accompanied with a particularly Breton-esque twist that has given me some of my most fun experiences in Skyrim since my initial playthrough of the game. Of course, with Bretons being my favorite race, that very well may be considered bias. Elder Scrolls 6 likely being set in High Rock also makes this build that much more enjoyable.

4E, Tamriel. All of the continent has drifted into disarray as a result of the Great War. Imperials are struggling to regain their strength for an inevitable second war, Skyrim is in full rebellion, and the Aldmeri Dominion is enforcing its terms that the Empire agreed to. Despite it seems to be in its own world, High Rock is no stranger to the chaos. Political strife runs amok as kings and lords squabble over land and resources. Honest trade has been almost entirely regulated to Daggerfall, as Wayrest is now home to outlaws. This perfect storm has given a wealth of opportunity to The Corsair.

Some rumors say that the rogue was once a scout in service to the Daggerfall crown. Others say that he was the captain of a naval ship that was sunk into the Iliac Bay. Whatever his origins may be, he found himself in Wayrest, where opportunities for gold were most easy to come across. However, due to....complications, the scoundrel had to relocate. Knowing that disorder leads to wealth, the rogue looked to the east, where word is that dragons are coming back along with an expanding civil war. And so Skyrim became the next destination for our cunning Breton.

The High Rock Corsair, put in the simplest of terms, is a rogue that uses his Breton gift of natural magical aptitutide to work to his advantage in battle. Illusion is used for a variety of scenarios, ranging from escaping an army of bandits whose boss you ganked to calming a noblewoman's husband who wasn't happy upon hearing about your misadventures.

In an actual fight, the High Rock Corsair will use his speed and agility to outplay his opponents. His trusty scimitar is the weapon of choice due to its lightness and durability. Restoration will be used after a battle, as The Corsair can't afford to lug around copious amounts of potions. And of course, that scuffle very well may not even transpire if the Breton can use his silver tongue to talk his way out of it......

Work in progress note: I realize that there are only 6 days left until the event is over, but the build is finished. I just have to finish the write-up and take some screenshots. Expect quite a few updates in the coming hours. As always, constructive criticism is welcome!
