WiP Character Build: The Wild Breather

  • July 8, 2017

    Introduction

Recently I have been playing through The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I must say I really enjoy the game, especially the exploration side, there are just so many little hidden things, (though sometimes a bit tedious). In general I love the variety of weapons and things to do within the world. I'd say it does in fact, have a lot of similarities with Skyrim (hence why I am making a build about it, duh).

So lets strip things down to the basics, in BoTW you have access to a variety of weapons, those being two handed and one handed weapons, wands (staves) boomerangs, and bows. Now, the only thing that really isn't possible in Skyrim is the boomerang. The rest is perfectly fine. There is also a variety of armor to choose from, with lots of different enhancements. Sneaking is used sometimes too. Elixirs are can be crafted through various means and food is a big buffer.

So where does this leave us in the skill department? I believe the following:

    • One Handed
    • Two Handed
    • Archery
    • Sneak
    • Alchemy

Now where does this leave us in the armor department? Currently I am unsure, perhaps perking a little bit of both would be enough, after all this playstyle is all about playing with planning. As a side note this build will also use certain artifacts as tools.

What do you think of my thinking so far?

Haven't played Breath of the Wild or any Zelda game so I can't comment on that, but I know there was a Zelda build around a year or two ago that might be able to help you for armour and such... I think it was an event build for the Crossworlds Event maybe? I'll see if I can track it down later.

What roleplay are you planning to really get us into the Zelda spirit? Ie what does Zelda do in those games that can be transitioned over? Ha, you can tell how clueless I am can't you!
