So I was fully engrossed in doing my YouTube channel and some live streaming and one day I decided to go through my Steam list and see what I hadn't played yet, or hadn't played in a while, as I needed something to do and wasn't in the mood for a return to the Wasteland yet. Witcher 3 was sitting there. It just wouldn't run on my old computer I had when I bought the game and then I was eye deep in Fallout stuff here for so long I just never fired it back up. Well, damn, if it isn't a great game. I've logged 173 hours over the last couple of months and being there are character builds in there, surprised it didn't garner more traction here (granted, not a Bethesda game). So I've played the base game twice now with two different builds and now starting into the DLCs. I'm contemplating a third playthrough with a sign heavy build but not sure if it's replayable enough for a third trip but we'll see.
YO John, good to see you mate :D
The Witcher 3 is definitely an awesome game, I'm afraid that I never had the desire to play it more than once...well actually I did I just didn't have the time, game's so sprawling and massive and just, so damn good that I doubted I could've played it again even if I wanted to (and I did). We did have a fair amount of discussion about it back when it first game out in The RPG Group, I remember Phil, Karver, I think Golden Fool and I having a tonne of discussions about various builds and ideas we had for the game, but I think it's just too large to dedicate more than a build or two's worth of content...
More Witcher stuff would definitely be great though, would love to try playing it again sometime so I'd definitely recommend starting up some discussions, maybe even writing a build for it if you've got the time (would be nice to see a build from you again :D). Would run through and find a few of our old threads but they'd take me a bit to find and it's getting a wee bit late, might pop over in the morning and send them to you.
Anyway, good to see you mate :)
Yeah I went down that path starting this past black friday for many months. It's incredibly engrossing. There are a few Witcher 3 builds (and more than a few Skyrim builds based on witcher 3) here on the site. Here's a few I found when making my "Boatman" songs of the north event build.

Trying to get perks that synch with one another is very difficult. I started a playthrough with me picking stuff and finished the base game. Then I ended up Googling builds and reading up on several dozen. I've now finished the base game with one of those builds and working on the DLC now. Wish there was a bit more intuition (or direction) on what perks to choose based on others that you've already taken. LOL
