I had no idea people were so cheeky over on those threads. I certainly wouldn't indulge such brief/demanding requests, I'd likely ignore them completely...
I think the key with those threads has always been to close comments after the first three requests so you can catch up...
It's mainly just newer members that do it, along with not providing all the information for their request or just generally being unintelligible.
Since the Request Thread is open to anyone helping out, closing the comments wont always work out, and plus until fallout 4 there isn't going to be all that much activity in the thread.
I agree with you, ShinJin. I feel like it's not just an issue in CB though... sometimes snarkiness or excessive rudeness will periodically bubble up in the forums and other groups. It's just really unfortunate to see, because comments like that do nothing to actually help build or foster community... and yet that's the reason we're all here. It seems so counterproductive to what everyone is actually seeking and wants from the site. Stuff like that just drives wedges between people and can lead to messy situations. Someone can disagree with an approach or argument in a discussion and still be polite... in my humble opinion, it really shouldn't escalate to the point of such nastiness.
