ruined my main quest

    so here is what happened. In exploring early on in the game I found the thalmor embassy and took the challenge to shoot everyone inside with my bow through the hold in the fence surrounding the compound. although i couldn't loot them i succeeded and left pleased. later when i was getting more serious about the main quest i found out about a party i needed to go to up at the embassy. come to find out the people i killed don't respawn and now i cant get into the party because i have no one to show my invitation to. i may just have to start all the way over on this char which sucks because he is pretty high.

    anyone else ever have this problem? or regret things you did earlier in the game that you have to deal with later on?

    now that i look back at it, knowing i probably wont play that character for awhile i like that my actions actually had a lasting effect on my experience and the world that i was playing in became a little more real.

    And that's why you get this game for the PC.  Console commands for bug fixes FTW!

    They do respawn actually, well in my case they did, but i could not hand over the invitation because i did the same thing as you, they only said: So, you're that ruffian that hurt me earlier...

    I had a sort of simillar experience with Northwatch Hold ( ? ) north-west of Solitude, cleared the whole thing only to find out that in the end was one of my quest objectives... Of which I hadn't finished the prequisets
