Finish my Backstory

  • Hey Guys,

I thought i would try a different method to my backstory. I have the first part of backstory planned (see below) but got a little stumped on the events from where i have written.. to the precise point where my character crosses the border to Skyrim.

I've really enjoyed some of the stories i've read on here and felt jealous that i didn't come up with some of them. So this is my own personal spin on implementing my ideas and including all of your creative genius too!

    Heres my story so far

Caius, was born and raised in the flat lands at the foot hills of Bruma in the Imperial Empire of Cyrodil. In these flats near Bruma he lived with his Father Antonius, Mother Janus and 2 elder siblings. Caius came from a modest trading family where income was gained from selling the pelts of hunted wildlife; the meat from said wildlife was used to feed the 5 Imperials. The coin from pelts, turned to crops in the spring months.
Caius hunted with his Father and Brother, Druss from the age of 10. He was skilled with Bow and Dagger and learnt fundamental Sword skills from his Father, an old Imperial Legionnaire. The young Imperial was oddly light of foot for such a large man, and showed this gift by slaying unsuspecting deer by dagger much to the humour of his family.
On the year of his 23rd Birthday a cold and unforgiving winter struck the land burying it with ice and blistering winds. Food was scarce and crop conditions poor. Caius’ Father Antonius had fallen ill with fever and the trade connections with the southern lands had been severed with the harsh winter.
Fearing starvation and the health of their Family. Caius and Druss sought a loan from local Bruma book keeper Altonus to see them through the winter months. Altonus was eager to give and even quicker to collect on debt. Not a month had passed before the broker was calling for his money.
Unable to pay this debt so soon, Altonus took to violence on the Imperials. Whilst out searching the Eastern Mountains for rabbit, Druss was trailed and attacked by 4 of Altonus’ men and left to die in the cold unknown of the mountain range. Caius becoming worried with his brothers increased absence searched the Eastern hunting grounds and found Druss clinging to life.
With a gravely injured brother, a stricken Father and starving Mother and sister. Caius was backed into a corner. With undying rage for the events that had unfolded and stress and pressure of an already worried family, the young imperial did what he knew best. He hunted.
On a particularly windy night Caius scaled the roofs of the town of Bruma and waited for the 4 men told to him by Druss, to exit the Tavern where rumour had them be. Only they came from the City gates.....Nonetheless as they made their way down a side street to Altonus’ complex, 3 arrows whistled in quick succession and came to a cracking stop in the skulls of 3 of the men. Before the 4th could scream to alert the guards a dagger thrown with uncanny precision thudded into the thug’s throat turning the scream to a gurgling whimper.
Caius made his way home with haste. Planning to escape with his family to a nearby town before news reached Altonus of his enforcers deaths. Opening the wooden door he stumbled and fell to his knees in disbelief of what he saw. Those he loved strung from the wooden beams of the ceiling with a letter each carved into their foreheads spelling P-A-I-D. Now he knew why the men came from the city gates... Overcome by grief and emptiness he re-gathered his Bow and speed back topside to the town of Bruma intent on watching the life leave Altonus’ eyes for himself. Before he could register more than 2 steps within the city walls, an arrow came shuddering between his chest and right shoulder sending him backwards with the force. Delirious with pain he managed to lift his head whilst gritting his teeth from what seemed the searing heat of his wound to see..... A town Guard? More crept from shadows by the wall and converged on him, returning him to his feet with lack of care. The Captain glared at him before sending him to blackness with a swift backhand.
When he awoke Caius found himself in a dungeon with his wound bound tightly....
