The Old Champion - Prologue

  • In this post I will explain my character's backstory and talk about the rules that I will abide by during my play as Gorhak.

    Backstory:

Gorhak was born in Orsinium in 181 Fourth Era. When he was five, his grandfather was killed by a small clan of Bretons who were attempting to retake remote areas of Orsinium like the one Gorhak grew up in. The bretons burned the farm and executed Gorhak's grandfather. Gorhak's father was never the same after witnessing the decapitation of his most beloved relative. He spent hours locked in the small, damp farmhouse basement reading and sharpening his many swords and knives. It was hardly a surprise to the eleven year old Orc, Gorhak, that when he awoke his father was nowhere to be found. There were no notes and no goodbyes. It was not known to the family of Orcs, but Gorhak's father had ventured into Skyrim in search of evidence of his own grandfathers disappearance. In the year 200 Fourth Era, Gorhak's father was captured and ultimately executed by the forsworn at his grandfather's bloody grave. Over the course of the year word spread from Orc to Orc and eventually reached Gorhak's ears. Gorhak knew where he had to go and the destination he must reach.

    Roleplay Rules:

    1. If I die, I will write Gorhak's death into this story and the series will be over. (I'm hoping I don't seriously drop the ball and die in my second encounter)

    2. I will eat and drink at least once per day. (Hopefully More)

    3. I will only carry one set of armor and a reasonable amount of weaponry.

    4. I will sleep every night. If I am caught in the wild at night I will simulate sleeping by picking a "campsite" and utilizing the "Wait Function"

    5. I will play on the standard difficulty.

    6. I will not fast travel with the exception of paying for carriages to take me from town to town.

I apologize for the less than perfect writing in this post. I just needed to get the backstory down. The Chronicles of Gorhak's Adventures will begin soon.
