I know Paul touched this kind of I think...?
But tell us what was the best sounding Elder Scrolls game? What were sone of the best sounds? (voices count as does music)
Agreed, definitely Morrowind. I mean, it's the *Dunmer* who are supposed to sound like they've been smoking too much (ash from Red Mountain?), *not* the female Khajiit (as in Oblivion)!

Plus, I like Morrowind's iteration of the Elder Scrolls theme better than Oblivion's. It was stirring, but still somewhat soothing. Now, Skyrim's version? FANTASTIC. So martial and gutteral, but still the familiar tune.
@McNuggle Completely agree with everything you said. Morrowind's sound was a memorable part of the gaming experience in so many ways. Oblivion's was just...there. And not in a memorable way. less
Morrowind. I was hooked at the very start - the ship creaking, the ocean, the voices, everything. I only hear 'in-game' sounds, I turn the music off (I reload an old save and turn the music on, and then just mess around, so I do get to hear the music). ... moreMorrowind. And since voices count ... Patrick Stewart as the Emporer in Oblivion. I just they had done more with him (i.e. a longer lasting character - e.g. Martin .. 'hey, you sound just like your father'.
Morrowind has my vote, the sounds felt way more in line with the beautifull you where exploring.
Every single race had better voices too, for example the Dunmer, they had these really sand-papered voiced, while the imperials sounded way more civiliz... moreMorrowind has my vote, the sounds felt way more in line with the beautifull you where exploring.
Every single race had better voices too, for example the Dunmer, they had these really sand-papered voiced, while the imperials sounded way more civilized and they had a much cooler accent.
Oblivion on the other hand had the same voice for almost any kind of race, al the merish races sounded the same, all human races sounded the same and Kajiits didn't sound like cat's anymore.
For me the best sounding was Morrowind. Not only did the music... Captivate me, but it had most of my favourite sounds...
I loved the sound of casting spells. I liked the failed spell sound too... Though not at the time...

I liked the lockpicking sound... Same with the sounds of the silt-strider and it's echo!
Even though I hate it, the sound of a cliff racer is memorable at least.
I loved the sounds of just walking on the Azuras coast... To me it was as it I was there!
The Dunmer yelling was great "You N'wah!". The Dunmer voice period was amazing!
I liked the sound effects of hitting or shooting different things in oblivion... And well that's about it for oblivion.. I mean sound wasn't bad it just wasn't great... less
