Will there be the Objective Arrows anymore? (Red, Green, & Blue Arrows on Map)

    Will there be the Objective Arrows anymore? 

    (Red, Green, & Blue Arrows on Map)

     

     

    I am sure that you all remember how in Oblivion it had objective arrows on the compass at the bottom and I thought it was pretty awesome at first because, like in Morrowind you literally had to listen to people’s directions to find out were you had to go which was very annoying. So when I saw that they showed were to go in Oblivion I was very happy and excited but not long after it I felt like it took away from the game and made very simple and easy to do all the missions. If this were to return, would you all be glad to see it back or wish that they could have something like it and not take away from the “find it yourself” way. Comments…

    @Darvakiin That would certainly be an improvement over Oblivion's "let's hand you the quest on a silver platter" system. ;)  But for myself, I'm still going to play with them turned off if that's possible.

    Quest markers are in and you can turn them off, but they said they would make it better. Like instead of pointing to the objective inside a cave, It would point you to the cave.

    I thought I read/saw in some article that it would be possible to disable quest/objective compass markers?
    If not, that's the first mod I'm going to want.... :P

    Yeah, I'm gonna be all about the Clairvoyance when I'm stumped and had my fill of exploring. Honestly, I kind of see why Oblivion went the way it did, with so much 'hand-holding' going on. Sometimes Morrowind did get frustrating, a few quests in particula...  more

    Ah -- and now I see in other comments that "quest markers" are in.  We'll see what they're like, I guess.
    There's an Illusion(?) spell that shows you the shortest path to your current objective -- I'm content with that as a bail-out if I get frustra...  more

    Objective markers are out.  Now they do things like use water and terrain to steer your attention toward things they want you to notice -- and other times to hide things they want it to be a challenge to find.  This makes me happy -- it'll keep me looking...  more

    I personally like it.
    If there wasn't one, I'd be very lost since sometimes I don't actually listen to the dialogue of the questline.
    There will be missions of course where you will have to explore and 'find it yourself'

    Yes there are quest markers. I've seen them myself.
