Adventure's of Qa'Rhaska pt 2 "Skyrim is a harsh Beast"

  • Clad in a Mages hood taken from a dead wizard caged and neglected by an Imperial torturer Qa'Rhaska grips his blade. His companion, whom once made him his captive, makes his way deeper into Helgens dungeon and hopefully their freedom. With Hadvar out of sight Qa'Rhaska ready's his sword and drives it into the chest of the hooded man. "Only a coward cages its prey." he whispers into the Imperials ear. Kneeling next to his victim Qa'Rhaska inspects the dying man taking his dagger, boots and bracers for his own. As he turns and stands the dying sounds of his fresh kill fills him with excitment of what prey lays ahead, with anticipation he hurry's after Hadvar.

"Done then? Lets get moving" Hadvar says upon their reunion, "Appologies... this one had something to take care of... it's not important." The two enter into what is obviously part of Helgens dungeon but looks no different to how the local Nords describe their ancient tombs. On the furthest wall there is a wall that has collapsed revieling a cave or perhaps rements of an older structure the Helgen was built upon. Eager to be out of the dankness of Helgens dungeon and out of the smells that would make those without the hightened senses of a khajit sick to their stomach Qa'Rhaska rushes down the opening only to stop at the sound of bickering Nords. He crouches behinde the corner and draws the dagger he took moments ago and peers around the corner. He counts Five within view, all wearing blue padded armor like the ones he was on the cart with.... the Stormcloaks. The two he heard bickering down some stairs, two archers on the far rise and one pacing in the far corner. "If i can approach the one at the rear and dispatch him quickly and quitely i may be able to do the same to the rest if i use his bow-" before he could finish his plan of attack Hadvar catchs up, draws his sword and enters the fray with the Stormcloak rebels. "You fool! Oblivion take you!" sheathing his dagger he draws his sword and joins Hadvar. desperately dodging arrows Qa'Rhaska keeps to his plan and drives his sword through the chest of the archer that patrolld the furthest corner, he kneels grabbing the newly deceaseds longbow and slings arrows at his foes, narrowly missing his compaion as he swings wildly at the rebels.

Being simply rebels and not a trained fighting force they were easier to dispatch than Qa'Rhaska had thought, clearly he gave Nords too much credit. Shaking his head at Hadvar he search's the battle field recovering as many arrows as he was able to find. Ahead of them lays an odd bridge construct that seems to be lever operated "Hmm lets see where this goes" Hadvar says as he pulls the lever. The bridge descends... or falls to be exact, it feels sturdy enough under foot, it's a marvel its lasted so long. Suddenly a roar from above and falling rubble destroys the bridge mere seconds after crossing Qa'Rhaska cant help but laugh at the irony. The Duo push forward a little way when ahead of him Qa'Rhaska notices an abundance of web, far too large to be that of common spiders. He grins and ready's an arrow for he knew these creatures well and were among his favorite prey since coming to Skyrim. Sure enough Frostbite Spiders descend to the cave floor, Qa'Rhaska loose's a few arrows puncturing their hard exterior before Hadvar has a chance to assist.... or get in the way. These creatures were one of his favorite prey for the simple reason that their fangs still drip venom upon death, Taking the couple dozen arrows from his quiver Qa'Rhaska dips their heads in the poison ensuring quicker kills in future providing he hits his target.

Traveling further into the depths of the earth freedom seems like a fools dream.... but not for a khajit... Qa'Rhaska can smell the fresh air or fresh-er air coming from the caverns ahead as well as a familiar smell. There's a bear in the cavern ahead, an easy kill for those who know how to hunt, a problem for those who don't. Sure enough with less than a minuets travel a sleeping bear just stands between them and freedom. "hold up! there's a bear just ahead. you see her?" "This one smelled her Hadvar...."  Qa'Rhaska lets out a sigh, as soon as we're out of this cave im leaving you behinde, i hate traveling companions, he thinks to himself. Slinging an arrow into the bears ribs the fight was over before it realy began. The great creature wakes from slumber roaring in pain and charges towards the hunter but stumbles and surcomes to the poison. He signals Hadvar to go ahead without him, Qa'Rhaska draws his dagger and begins to skin the beast. Upon finishing and using some near by roots and moss to fashion some rope he rolls up the pelt and carries it towards the caverns exit over his shoulder.

I hoped that being a khajit would open new lines of dialogue aswell but outside of combat there isnt :/ talking with the khajit carvans is the same but you cant ask about elswyre because you'd asume a khajit would know all about it.
