How are you preparing for Skyrim? Plans for the release?

  • I know from my end I have been playing a ton of oblivion..almost too much. Just getting back in the groove of things and letting my fingers do their thing. I have noticed alot of references to dragons in oblivion that I had forgotten from the past. The dragon armor you receive after your last quest with martin..had to wait two weeks! Also when Martin himself turns into a dragon in the final battle, such a sick scene.

On 11-11-11 is going to be a busy day for me..I have a wedding to attend at 2pm and than dave attell tickets around 9pm. The wedding I have rsvp'd for 9 months ago before I even knew of a skyrim release and the tickets had been purchased for me by a friend by my bday, so kinda tough not to go and have a few drinks and watch a master. BUT my buddy is a manager of gamestop here in phoenix and he is keeping the store open till 5am playing skyrim with a few buddies on multiple screens and having a good time so I will have to stop by for that. In all honestly skyrim is all I have been thinking about- cant wait. Oblivion is fun and all, probably my favorite game of all time..but I know Skyrim is going to be somehting special. What do you all plan to do for the release..besides playing in nonstop

I will out of town on 11-11-11 to visit my great grandfather for Rememberance Day seeing as this will probably be the last chance I get to see him. Though when I get back home from that, I'll be picking up Skyrim and only stop to sleep and work!

I'm currently an independent consultant/contractor, and the holiday season always seems to be a slow period for me work-wise.  Bad for the bank account, but good for the Skyrim release since I have no work booked for November.
This will be a first...  more

I requested 4 days off of work. 12th-15th. I've been playing a uber modded out Oblivion, but I'm trying to stop and wait until Skyrim so it doesn't get old as fast.

Well I will be at Gamestop front door in a fold out chair from sun up to sun down! Just so I can get my hands on the collectors edition of the game. I will break most of the traffic laws of Texas getting back to my house to carefully rip open the box and ...  more
