Friessa - Duties To Morthal

  • Running Errands

I asked the guards in town if they knew of anyone needing help and they directed me towards the mill and mentioned something about Idgrod, the daughter of the Jarl, needing some help with her brother. I came across Idgrod near Lami's shop. We made idle chit chat and she thanked me for saving the town, I told her it was my duty. I inquired about if she needed any help and it seems the guards were correct, help with her brother, Joric, was needed. I was to head to Whiterun and talked to Danica, the healer in the temple of Kynareth, I popped the note I was to give to her and told Idgrod I would be back in several days.

I took a slow walk over to the mill and asked in the owner, Jorgen, if there was anything I could do to help out, he mentioned he needed a hand chopping up firewood, I gladly accepted. This reminded me of being back in Riverwood, Hod may have not been very talkative however Jorgen is a grumpy git, there was no-one to talk to, I miss Faendal, so I only worked there for several days before I was sick of Jorgen and his moaning!

I had a chat to the owner of the carriage and he took me back to Whiterun, when we arrived it just began to ran, how glum. I saw the Khajit, Ri'saad, and we bartered over some old potions I had lying around in the bottom of my backpack, I came out ontop this time, it seems like my tongue is getting better. I entered Whiterun and asked the guards where the temple was, they pointed to towards Jorrvaskr and told me it was opposite it. Boy is Jorrvaskr a site, I wouldn't mind having a look around there some day, maybe once I have some more meat on me!

I entered the temple, I was sure to be silent as there were priests healing the wounded. I spotted who I believed to be Danica and waited for her to stop praying, after several minutes she approached me and asked me what my business was in the temple, I handed her the note, she thanked me and tried to give me several hundred septims. I could not accept this, I told her to put it towards training more priests and priestesses, she gladly thanked me, I gave her a potion that should help her abilities to heal the badly wounded and said I would pop my head into the temple next time I was in town to see how it went. She gave me Kynareth's blessing as I left.

When I exited the temple I saw two people arguing, the woman seemed hostile towards the man. I waited until she had left and inquired about what the problem was, long story short he wanted me to achieve his family blade which was stolen by bandits... I wanted to help this poor man out, Amren his name was, however as you can tell by my last entry fighting is something I haven't quite come to terms with yet... I agreed.

I said hello to Arcadia and mentioned how I had met Lami in my travels, we talked about herbs for several hours before she gave me a present of some fresh ingredients, I gladly accepted and made a concotion that would improve my skills with the blade.

As I left Whiterun and got ready to go to the bandit camp I saw the fine looking steed was still in the stables, I bartered with the stable master, Skulvar, a grumpy git just like Jorgen, and bought the fine steed for one thousand septims and got a nordic horn thrown in for several hundred more. Seemed like a steal to me! I named her Abby and she took the name like tinder to fire.

I saw the bandit camp and was several hundred yards away. I dismounted Abby and told her to wait. I consumed a potion that silences my feet and one that improves my skills with a bow. I summoned two large frost atronachs in the middle of the camp to draw the attention away from me. I knocked my arrow and softened up the bandit for my atronachs to finish off, I repeated this process for each bandit. I was not enjoying this, but they are bad people. I entered the inside and drank my potions again, I saw a bandit clad in a heavy looking set of armour, I saw an opening in the back of his knees and quickly shot two arrows off, almost in tandem and they perfectly hit him there, crippling his movement. I left him there as he could't cause anyone any harm.

I grabbed the key of the table and used it to open the gate leading down to where a large mammoth corpse lie, I saw several bandits who had not spotted me, I summoned two large frost atronachs who got their attention before me. I coated three arrows in my poison as they were distracted, all three hit their targets and the bandits all looked at each other as they felt the poison seep into their blood stream, they dropped to floor as their hearts would've stopped beating.

I searched around for the sword can came across it as well as some gems a ring. I exited and rode Abby back to Whiterun, dropped her off at the stables and made my way to see Amren. He was grateful and taught me a new technique, it was similar to something Maiq had taught me.

I'm back off to Morthal now and am going to become their Thane, I may visit my house aswell!
